(L/N) ~ Last Name
"Ms. (L/N), since you're new but you have an incredible reputation to live up to, and this is science class, What is the product of water and pentyl ethanoate under acidic conditions? Please explain." I sat there, pretending not to care, blandly answering as if he had asked what two plus two is.
"Ethanoic acid and pentanol. First of all, before I start boring everyone, let us define pentyl ethanoate. Pentyl ethanoate is a carbon compound known as ester. When an ester reacts with water, it is known as a hydrolysis reaction. During hydrolysis, pentyl ethanoate, ester, will dissociate into a carboxylic acid and an alcohol. In this case, the pentyl ethanoate will dissociate into ethanoic acid and pentanol. There, that's the answer, am I wrong?" The looks on everyone's faces was hysterical, and I had a hard time keeping a straight face until a blue-haired bird-brain snapped out of it and began clapping, slowly 'awakening' the other students, leading them to clap as well. Soon the entire classroom, including the teacher and hood-dude, was applauding me for my smarts; the praise became too much and I began to blush. I sat down just as that red-headed girl stormed out of the classroom in what seemed to be rage; I shrugged it off and focused on keeping my head down for the rest of class.
Sorry for how short it is, I had a spark of inspiration and acted on it. *yawn* I'm working on getting more chapters out, but this book will have to wait for a bit. Let me know what book you want me to work on in a week from now, I have a week-long summer camp I'm going to, I'll get straight on it if someone suggests! I'm not the same book two weeks in a row, so take a look at my other books! Okay... I'm tired... even though it's only 9:50 pm where I'm at, Imma get to sleep! Goodnight, my sweet little kittens!
