ch.14

Kyrie POV:

I sat in the car nervous to walk in the house. My mother was already at home so I would most definitely run into her. Technically my mom had kicked me out of her house but yet I was about to walk in with Kayce.

I got out the car right after Kayce.

"What do you think she's going to say, Kayce?" I asked.

"I mean there's not too much she can say." He said while unlocking the door."

"What do you think she's goi-" I tried to say, but was cut off.

"SURPRISE!" A whole bunch of people yelled out to me as I walked in the house.

"Wow!" I said as took in the room.

My mom had the house covered with baby shower items. I walked up to her.

"Mom, what is all this?" I asked.

"This is your baby shower. I know you are picky about how things are decorated, so I just bought the things but you decorate it." She said.

I was still quite confused because just hours ago she was telling me I had to get out of her house.

"But mom, what about earlier?" I said.

"Oh that was just me trying to get you out of the house for awhile. Sorry if I said anything that might've offended you." She said.

"Aw, mom. You didn't have to do all of this." I said.

"I wanted to. Now go see who's hiding in your room." She said.

"Okay." I said.

I couldn't believe that this was all happening. My mom faking her stunt just to have me a surprise baby shower that I had to decorate which was amazing since I love decorating things.

I walked to the back to my room, and opened my door. When I opened the door I screamed at who was behind the doors.

It was three of my childhood friends who had moved away when we were ages: 6 (Me), 8 (Malarie) 12 (Layton), 13 (Shannon). Despite the age difference we all were oh so close. We hadn't talked in years, but you could tell the love was still there as we embraced each other in a hug.

Also in the corner quiet was my childhood boyfriend, Eli.

"Oh my gosh,  I can't believe yall are here." I said.

"I know right, it seems so surreal." Malarie said.

"I haven't been in this hhad ouse in ages." Layton said.

"Right, we used to stay over Kyrie's house." Shannon said.

"Hi, Ky,Ky." Eli said.

"Good times, how have yall been though?" I said.

"Good, they all said at the same."

"We are good. How are you Ms. 5 months?" Layton said.

I laughed. Layton was always the blunt one. Malarie and Shannon just usually followed suit.

"I'm good. We have so much to catch up on." I said.

"Yeah we do. But for now let's go decorate your baby shower." Malarie said.

"Yeah, let's go." I said as I open the door to leave out.
