Today would be a great day.
I was celebrating being a mom for a year. Today was McKenzie Renee Coleman first birthday. I was so excited.
I was laying in bed trying to mentally prepare myself for the long day ahead.
Kenzie party is today, and I am already tired. I would do anything for my mini me though. She was truly a diva like her mom.
I was now staying in my own place, just me and my baby.

It was small but it was just enough room for me and Kenzie.
My parents were suffocating me. Kayce never came home anymore, and with Kai gone it just didn't seem like home anymore. I packed Kenzie and I bags and left. I stayed with Kayce awhile before I found a small house just right for me and Kenzie. I wanted to go back to the apartment that I shared with Corey but through the grapevine I heard he had moved on, and had a girlfriend, so I let that be.
Speaking of Corey, I haven't seen nor heard from him in over a year. While I was in Hawaii, my parents told me he was constantly stopping by, but when I returned I hit him up to let him know I was back, but I got nothing.
I decided to call it a loss, and go with my life.
I was so deep in my thoughts that I almost didn't hear the knocking at the front door.
I rose from the bed, grabbed my robe off the bathroom door, and walked towards the front door. I peeped in Kenzie room, and she was still sleeping peacefully. I closed the door, and proceeded to walk to the front.
I looked in the peephole and it was Layton, Malarie, and Shannon!! I opened the door, and screamed!!
AHHHHH!!!
"Omg! What are you guys doing here?" I asked.
"Bitch, did you really think we would miss our God child first birthday party?" Layton said while rolling her neck.
I paused and thought about it.
"Well, yeah you right." I said as I playfully rolled my eyes.
"Are you gonna let us in or do we have to stand here all day?" Shannon said nonchalantly.
"My bad, come in y'all. Kenzie in her room sleep." I said.
They all came in as I held the door open for them.
"Ooo, bitch you is living lavish." Malarie said looking around.
"Girl as if." I said laughing.
"It is nice." Layton said.
"Thanks, how did y'all know where I stayed at anyways?" I said as I sat on the arm of one of my couches.
