I sat at the back of the cab in my suit, waiting to arrive in front of Sarah's apartment building.

Sarah was attending my friend Jimmy's birthday party with me. The night had come a lot sooner than I had anticipated.

Suddenly my phone began buzzing from my pocket. I wasn't expecting any calls, but I immediately knew who was on the other line.

"Hey Jimmy" I greeted as glaring out the cab window.

Whenever I was least expecting a call, it was always Jimmy.

"Yo I got your message" he started in his smooth voice "Your bringing a girl? And not just any girl, the girl who's trying to make ya a gentleman or some shit"

"Yep" I glanced down at my pants, where I released I missed a spot when ironing.

"You mean to tell me that you're bringing the snobby, stuck-up, man-hating, bitchy chick that's trying de-man you to my birthday?" He cried.

"And she's a feminist" I added as shooting my head up.

"What the fuck man! You know they hate me" Jimmy cried "Why the fuck did you invite her for?"

"I was being polite" I shrugged.

"Since when?" He raised his voice "these classes are changing you man"

That was true.

"I think that's the point" I lowered my voice.

The classes were organized by Sam and Jenny because they were concerned. The reason why they were concerned, was something I wouldn't find out until later.

"I don't care they need to stop!" He ordered as I glanced out the window to see Sarah approaching the cab.

"Look I gotta go she's coming" I cried as ending the call quickly. "Hi" I greeted her.

"Hey" she smiled as taking a seat beside me.

Her hair was down and her heels made her look almost as tall as me. I remember she wore a dress that was neither too provocative nor too modest.

Suddenly my phone began buzzing again. I smiled at the name that popped up on my screen.

"Hey, Blake" I greeted.

Blake was backpacking through Europe, for the next four or five months. Unlike most people, I hated having the apartment to myself. So I had missed him immensely.

"Wait, Blake as in your roommate?" Sarah smiled at me, I responded with a small nod.

"Hi" Blake greeted "I just wanted to make sure you didn't burn our apartment down"
