I threw my anchovies, almond milk, frozen spinach, and honey into the blender aggressively.

"Ned it's time we do this" Jenny said as I pulsed the smoothie from behind the kitchen counter.

They all glared at me from the kitchen table. I had no intention of playing along with their intervention; my plan was to drink my smoothie then go straight to the airport, as it was my last day in San Francisco.

"Sit down for fuck sake" Chris ordered.

"Fuck off" I hissed at him.

Chris become kinda dictator in the last few years or so. I guess he thought that since he lived in my family home and had a better relationship with my dad when I had, he could treat me however he wanted.

"Hi Ned" Blake greeted from the laptop screen.

"Blake you're supposed to be on my side remember" I snapped at him in disappointment.

"This isn't about taking sides," Justine said.

I rolled my eyes as a response. I felt betrayed by my best friend. Blake knew about the intervention and chose not to say anything to me.

"Please sit down" Jenny begged as I poured my smoothie into a tall glass.

"Ned now" Luke shot me daggers.

I was furious at them all. I immediately wanted to go straight back into my destructive ways and scream at them all.

Instead, I walked over to the empty chair and dropped into the seat. They all just looked at me blankly as if they were shocked to see that I had actually complied.

"Well, go ahead" I rolled my eyes.

"Right that's me" Blake started as pulling out a folded piece of paper from his pocket "Ned, we feel that you have been growing distant and falling deeper and deeper into your ways, we think that it's time that you join us adults in the real world-"

"Since when?" I folded my arms.

Blake didn't have all those concerns the last time I had spoken to him. I knew that Jenny had been pissing in his ear.

"I don't know" Blake shrugged "Jenny emailed me the script-"

Yep, Jenny wrote Blake's speech. As far as I know, the rest were genuine.

"Anyway" Jenny interrupted "Chris you're next"

Uh yes Chris, I knew he would have a lot to say about my behaviour. Chris didn't have a piece of paper, he had everything he wanted to say in his head.

"Ned, it's time you grow up" he started "We're not teenagers anymore, it's time you stop with the excessive drinking and the sleeping around and until you change I don't want you around Cleo"

"Good an ultimatum" Jenny nodded proudly.

Was not seeing Cleo a threat? I found it funny that he used Cleo as a tool to make me quit my ways. I resented that kid so much that it was beginning to grow into hatred.

"You call not seeing Cleo an ultimatum? I don't want to see that kid" I shook my head.

"Ned" Luke cried "she's our blood"

'Our blood' couldn't make me like a person anymore. In fact, I had this trend in my life where I hated my family more and more with every breath.

"No, she was the product of one drunken incident that should have never have happened" I snapped "and it wouldn't have if Chris stopped pouring Elise drinks on her sixteenth birthday"
