Your POV.

"And Yoongi?" I asked, "Where did you meet him?"

"In the services, he's a bit, um unique. It's hard to approach him but-"

"It's comfortable around him?"

"Yea." He smiled.

"I know. He doesn't talk much and only focuses on what's important but he always seemed like a good person."

"He is. I was really glad that I was in the same team as him."

I giggled.

"Why are you laughing?" He asked.

"See. I knew that you'd never really harm anyone."

"I still killed her."

"It's not correct to say that. It was mistake. You could never have known. Like you said, the odds weren't in your favor."

"Don't I seem disgusting? A man who killed his own sister."

I shook my head, "To me your my savior, the man who helped me when I was in the depth of darkness."

He smiled gently. "Thank you." He paused then something hit him and he turned to me again, "But did you really spend so much time with Leo?"

"Yea." I nodded and he seemed a disappointed.

"He asked you out?"

I snickered, "No. I lied about that, he sometimes teased me and joked about it but I always knew he was never serious."

"How can you be so sure?"

"Because." I smiled gently, "He told me that he could never compete with you. The amount of effort you put in for me. Only you deserve me."

"Really ?" He seemed a relieved.

I grinned in return, "So are we a couple now?"

His eyes went wide, "Hm?" His gaze darted everywhere, and then he slightly nodded, "Yea." I was really happy but then he sighed.

"What's wrong?"

"Really. You should have been the guy and I should've been the girl. Your so bold it scares me sometimes."

I laughed at his response although it did not seem funny to him.

"Just you wait. I'll take back my dignity."

"You've lost none. your mistaken."

"Hm?"

"Just like how you protected me from doing wrong and bringing be back to what you can truly call life. I just did the same. The method was different. But we're even."

He took a deep breath, "You're very pretty."
He said suddenly out of the blue.

"Hm?" I was surprised.

"This look suits you more, a lively color, not black." He gently stroked my hair, picking up the lock of it along the way, twirling it around his fingers then kissing it, "You smell nice too."

His out of the blue actors were throwing me off, "W-what are you trying to pull?" Shit! Did I just stutter.

He snickered, "Nothing, Just saying stuff I've always wanted to tell you."

"Always?"

"Mmm, I've liked you since middle school but I never got a chance to tell you."

"Tell me...?" I slightly tilted my head.

"I love you."
Even though I was expecting the words, they still my heart flutter. I couldn't help but smile like a fool.

"Don't worry." Hoseok held my hand tight, "We will win this."

I squeezed his hand and nodded. It was the day of the trail.
I looked at Ren who smiled back at me from the defendant seat.

After a hour when Hailey made her final debate and the professor had given his statement. The judges talked among themselves and gave their final decision.

"- the defendant Ren has been proved innocent and hence will be free of any charge-"

Hailey made a fist of victory as Ren couldn't believe he was finally getting out.

* I ran into Ren's arms as he picked me up in his hand we both hugged each other tight.

"I'm so happy!" I exclaimed.
"Me too." Ren put me down, "It's all thanks to you."
I shook my head, "No, it's all thanks to Hoseok. He made everything possible, he did everything I could not have even dreamt of doing."

Ruffling my head he said ,"I need to talk to him."

"Why?"

"Of course I need to thank him. I always liked the man but I still have to properly show my gratitude." Then he passed me and went to where Hobi stood.

I looked at them from afar when Hailey approached me.
"Oh Hailey!! Thank you so much!!! I'll never be able to repay. You did so much I I-"

"Shh babe." She smiled at me, "I told you before too it's all because of Hoseok. Don't ever let a man like him slip away."

"Yes." I laughed.

"And. Your professor wants to talk to you."

"wha-"

"No!" She didn't let me speak, "It's best if you hear him out till the end. Understand? You have to."

I nodded my head and she turned around nodding at professor who walked up to me as Hailey left.

"I'm going to be quick." He said and I nodded, "For the past three years I've been in a constant state of unrest and I couldn't pin point the reason till I met you again." I nodded again, "I realized what I did was wrong. So," He took a deep breath, "I'm sorry about that."

I stayed silent for a few seconds then spoke.
"You still helped me get my brother out and that day actually I smashed the cup on your head too, nothing happened to me except getting expelled." I paused, "I will let this go."

He didn't say anything after that, just nodded and left and honestly I feel a bit better too now.

Everything seems to have fallen in place. It took a lot of time but I got there. Now with clear background, both me and Ren will be able to continue and achieve what we wanted. We're still young.

I took a deep breath and turned around to walk where my two most important people stood waiting for me.

In the end with hardships, come ease.
