Kathryn's POV

I push myself out of the plush bed and on to the floor. My yawn resounds through the chamber. I blink a few times, trying to remember what exactly had happened last night.

Finally, my mind wakes up with a blast of renewed memories.

First things first, I am engaged. To Sebastian.

Second, my mom came back from the dead. That's definitely an important part.

Third, my breath smells. Which is pretty much completely irrelevant to my thoughts but has to be addressed before reuniting with my fiancé and family.

I rummage through my closet full of ball gowns and tunics until my eyes settle on a dark blue dress with tight sleeves that go down to the elbows. The skirt flows out in a preppy shape, loose yet elegant although tight around my chest. I grasp the silky fabric in my hands and carry it to the bathroom.

After indulging myself in a long, warm bath, I comb out my hair, braid it, and brush my teeth. I slip on the dress, enjoying the soft fabric. It goes down to my knees, matching my style. I find a pair of white heels, put them on, followed by my silver tiara, and finally I am presentable.

I find myself twisting my engagement ring absentmindedly and I realize that I haven't even looked at the ring. The diamond is cut in an oval shape and is set in slightly glinting gold that, upon a closer look, is etched with swirls.

Amongst the carefully cut swirls I find the words in looping calligraphy; I love you, Blondie. It's tiny, barely even decipherable, but there in a blaring presence that screams Sebastian to me in the most adorable way. I find myself grinning widely. I'm going to marry him. I'm going to rule Asgard with him.

I glide out of my chambers with an air of happiness. Everything is falling sweetly in place. Once in the endless corridor, I smell rain. The thought of rain calms me and helps me clear my head.

Standing at the end of the hallway is a regal looking Sebastian wearing an outfit like my father's but is all black and seems more like a commander's outfit than a prince's. I can't help but notice how well it accents his muscular body. He sees me and grins. "Enjoying the view?"

"Sir yes sir!" I reply in military fashion.

"Thank you, your Majesty," Sebastian says. "Would you do me the honor of accompanying me to breakfast?"

I nod, walking over to him amd taking his hand. "Enjoying your stay at our humble palace?" I ask.

"Humble? This place is more majestic than any place on Earth. You could say I'm enjoying it. Though the clothing choice here isn't exactly my style," Sebastian responds. "I'll admit there are some great places to hide weapons."

I laugh, leading him down the stairs. "That's always a plus. I think you look amazing in it."

"Thanks. Reminds me of your dad's."

"It probably was his design. Supposedly he's a fashionista."

My father smiles at us, signifying that we've reached the dining hall. "You called the fashionista?"

My mom punches his shoulder. "I can't believe you remember that."

"How could I forget that?" He proceeds to wrap on her in a playful headlock like two kids fighting over the last piece of candy.

"Okay, okay, Mom, Dad, you're scaring my fiancé!" I laugh. It's good to see that my parents already have a healthy relationship after my mom came back to life. I embrace both of them, then step back and smile as they both hug Sebastian.
