You opened the small basement door, slightly crouching as to not hit your head on the short ceiling. Waving your hand up in the air, you reached up for the string that turned on the light. Finally managing to grip it, you pulled the string illuminating the old room. Dust filled boxes surrounded the place, some marked with black ink and others blank. You walked to the corner of the room towards the box that was labeled "Hiking gear".

Kneeling down in front of the box, you dusted the top, carefully lifting the lid and inspecting the inside. Once again, you became familiar with the objects inside, remembering the use for everything. Grabbing all the needed equipment you headed out closing the door.

You skipped to your room, quickly grabbing your clothes and changing. You slid into a pair of black leggings, black windbreaker and hiking shoes, finally topping off your look by picking up your hair into a bun and sliding a white knitted ear warmer on your head. Satisfied with the way you looked, you grabbed your backpack and skidded to the kitchen to grab supplies.

You stuffed your bag with water bottles, energy bars and some of your favorite chips. Why not. You shrugged, zipping up the bag and remembering to grab a first aid kit from one of the drawers in the kitchen and your camera.

Since you were very little you loved taking pictures. It started out by just pictures of random objects, then when your father started taking you on hiking trips you fell in love with nature and made it your hobby.

Zipping up your bag once more, you walked out of the house heading towards the Impala. Opening the car door and throwing the bag on the seat next to you.

The way to the trail was eventless, you drove peacefully, music and the purr of the car the only sounds keeping you company. Your stomach filled with butterflies as you thought about coming back to the amazing views the trail had to offer and tall trees that always blew you away. "Why didn't I think of this earlier?" You told yourself, looking into the rearview mirror.

After about an hour of driving, you rested your car on the desserted parking lot, swiftly placing your bag on your back and hanging the camera on your neck. You began walking into the fresh smelling forest, sounds of birds and small animals surrounding you. Taking off the lence protector from your camera, you took pictures of deer, beautiful plants and little things that caught your attention, eventually losing track of time.

Deciding to head back before the sun set, you began walking the opposite direction. Not bothering to look where you stepped, you tripped over a loose rock, falling towards the edge of the cliff and rolling down the hill. You groaned as the your body hit rocks and branches, finally coming to a stopping point on top of a pile of leaves. "Ugh." You moaned as you tried to stand up, slowly impulsing yourself off the ground.

"Are you alright?" A deep masculine voice called from above, holding out a hand for you. You took it, keeping your gaze down and brushing all the leaves and dirt off your clothes. "Yes I'm fine thank you." You laughed. "I've never fallen off the-" You looked up, your voice being cut off by the sight of the figure in front of you.
