School, was stupid—beyond stupid me and Xavyer were driving home from it. Usually Xavyer would be talking but Jezabel said something to him before we left school. Xavyer was already nice enough to stay for my practice, but now he was wishing he didn't and I could tell I pulled into the driveway and my mom was gone, Xavyer only mumbled something which made me huff.

"Ya boyfriend home" He said as he opened the door of my car his one leg out the door

"Mane he don't want me" I said sucking my teeth, of course Xavyer only waved me off, if he believed he was right than in his head he was.

"He looked me in the eye and told me" I said  my best friend looked at me for a longtime then rolled his eyes,

"ya boyfriends a liar" he said before getting out. He tapped on the hood of my car

"Yonna coming" he said before shutting the passenger car door. I got out exhaling through my lips, whatever Jezbel ugly ass told Xavyer he's now upset— and that was something I needed to fix. It's been maybe two days sense I seen Yonna, well she face timed me the other night saying she had to tell me Something.

"Hurry yo ass up" Xavyer yelled I went to turn towards the door and I felt Yonna grab me.

"Geez hello to you too" she looked scared as hell,

"I needs huge favor" she said I thought about it then put the one minute finger, she only sighed loudly,

"I'm bringing my girlfriend around to meet everyone" she than said as I tossed  Xavyer my house keys,

"You have a girlfriend?" I asked maybe a bit to loud because she than started slapping me repeatedly.

"Aye, watch ya self Jaylani" I looked up seeing Onyx on his steps his hands in his boxers and no shirt, he then went to get his mail and went back inside she than turned around back at me a bottom lip out.

"What I gotta do with this?" She looked at me.

"Well..the person I happen to be interested in,Has beef with Onyx and Jermain" she admitted my eyes only got bigger, "but less Jermain more Onyx" I shrugged still not understanding where I come in.

"Why doesn't Onyx like her" I asked her eyes bounced around.

"Well— something happened"

"Like?" She sucked her teeth, "it's not my place, but Jermain isn't one to pounce in public —but Onyx mouth can get reckless" I knew I heard that before- How many people does Onyx offend?

"What does this gotta do with me" I whined finally expression my confusion. She laughs then furrows her eyebrows.

"Onyx likes you, so you can keep him calm during the dinner" I nodded than shook my head

"Yeah- that won't work" I said turning around she only followed behind me into my house huffing.

"Of course it will, just talk to him a lot" she huffed I sat down next to Xavyer who was eating some chips and watching tv

"Xavyer" she whined only to get a mumble of a response.

"You can bring Xavyer-" I thought about it and Yonna filled Xavyer in, as if he was on my side he scrunched up his face but then the male besides me pops up questioning and soon he turned against me too.
