When I woke, my hand reached across the bed to feel it cold and empty. My eyes fluttered open to see that I was alone in my room. I pushed back a blanket Noah had placed over me and sat up in the bed.

How long did he stay here before he snuck out? I can't believe I fell asleep with him here lying next to me.

I found myself wishing he'd stayed and quickly tried to rub my hands over my face, forcing myself awake. I checked the clock and bolted from the bed. My meeting with Blake and his team was in forty-five minutes.

I jumped in the shower and made sure to scrub every inch of my body to be sure his scent was washed away and proceeded to get ready for the meeting. I kept my makeup simple, swiping on some mascara and light blush and finishing it off with a sheer pink gloss. My hair dried naturally in fluffy waves and I ran my fingers through them to get them just right before pulling on a pair of dark skinny jeans and a cream flowy tank top.

I slid my feet into a pair of tan sandals and grabbed a light tan sweater, tossing it on as I heard a quiet knock on the door. I checked the clock. I had five minutes to spare and I mentally patted myself on the back before walking over and opening the door.

Ki was standing in the doorway, looking coldly down at me. "You ready?"

His nostrils flared and I knew he could smell Noah's scent still lingering in the room. I gave him a small smile and nodded. He lead me out of the room and down the hall as we made our way in to the window lined room from the night before. It was even more impressive in the early sunlight and I couldn't help but look through to see the gorgeous lake glistening in the sunlight.

Blake and his Beta Owen were standing at the head of the table, Blake's arms crossed over his chest as he listened intently to Owen. Blake's face was scowling and I strained to listen as I slowly walked through the room towards them.

Owen's voice was speaking lowly and I could only make out a few words at a time, but they began to fall together. "...she's not like her...eyes....doesn't mean...won't let him leave...will know soon enough."

I reigned in my hearing just in time to wipe the confused expression off my face as Blake's eyes snapped to see me walking in. Nick stepped to the side and stood behind his place at the table. I stopped to stand in front of Blake and gave him a strong smile, portraying I was completely unshaken from the night before. "Good morning Alpha Blake. It's a gorgeous day is it not?"

He nodded responded gruffly. "It is."

He motioned to the chair next to Owen and I followed his lead, making my way over to stand behind it just as Noah and Theo walked into the room.

Noah's eyes met mine and he nodded before quickly averting his gaze to meet his father's stern one. I immediately set to still my heart to a normal rate, knowing if it altered that everyone in the room would be able to hear it. I kept my eyes from his, knowing if I met them that I would lose the battle.

Theo gave me a quick smile as he stepped up to his seat, across from me. "Well good morning. I trust you slept well."

I nodded and smiled, holding my chair to keep me grounded. "I did actually. I could have used more of it."

Theo gave me a knowing smirk and nodded hello to the four other males entering the room. Blake's full advisory was now present and we all sat to get down to business.

Blake's deep voice started, greeting everyone. "Welcome everyone. This morning we have several things to discuss. We will try and keep it quick since I know everyone will be wanting to get out of here to see to their schedules before the shift tonight."
