It took me about a week but I did end up calling Legend High and telling them I got my memories back but they flat out told me that there was no need for me anymore, saying that they had found my replacement. The news hurt but then I realized that I got what I wanted, I got a clean break. My friends didn’t want me anymore so I had to learn to live without them, as much as I didn’t want to. Besides I had new friends now and they were just being so nice to me. I mean they took me in, gave me a place to sleep, food to eat, rides to school, a TV to watch, everything! The only down side was that they wouldn’t stop pestering me, well more like Leo wouldn’t stop pestering me.
Question after question, day in and day out, I mean I answered them as best I could with as little detail as possible because half the story had to do with things I couldn’t tell them. Just imagine if I flat out said, “Yeah I’m staying here because I was a magical Fairy but then got kicked out because I forgot I was, but then I remembered everything except now it’s too late.”
Yeah no, that is not happening!
All that would get me is a one way trip to the crazy house! And I rather like where I am right now thank you very much!
So pretty much it’s been almost two weeks since I got my memory back. And as much as I wanted to get back into the swing of things it was kind of hard to do that with a broken heart; not only over Robin but over my friends, my true family, and the fact that I would never really see them ever again. So right now it was like I was kind of gliding through life. I woke up, went to school, learned as best I could, put on a smile for Leo and Stacy, told them I was fine whenever they asked, and then went back home with them and stayed in my room the rest of the day, then repeated the process all over again the next day. That is until one Saturday morning Stacy came barging into my room.
“Stacy what are you doing?” I asked as she went over to my closet without a word.
Then when she started examining things and tossing them around I sat up on my bed, “Seriously Stacy what are you doing?” I asked again and again I got no reply until she came over to stand in front of me and shoved a little pile of clothes into my hands.
“Get dressed we’re going out.”
I shook my head, “I don’t think so Stacy.” I said, dropping my clothes to the ground then lying back down on my bed.
Then I felt a weight bounce onto my stomach then stay there, “Stacy please get off of me.” I groaned.
“No way Hun!
“You are down in the dumps, and I get it after everything you’ve been through with your dad, but it’s been two weeks since you’ve come to live with us and no matter how hard you try your little I’m fine speech is not selling. So either you get up willingly or I drag you out by your ankles and force you to have fun.” She threatened, but she still had a sweet smile on her face.
“Is Leo getting you to do this?”
She rolled her eyes and snorted out a laugh, “No way, he’s more the type to ask you questions until you give in and tell him what’s up. Besides he’s gone with Bella to her play group for the day. So it’s just us and we’re going to go have fun even if it kills you. So…” she paused to jump off me then throw the clothes on my face, “get dressed and be ready in 20 minutes or else I’ll do it myself.” And with that she was gone but based on the shadow under the door crack she was right outside ready to strike if needed.
God she was persistent.
So before she could come in and drag me out I got dressed in the clothes she gave me, which was actually a cute little outfit of a frilly pink t-shirt and blue jeans. After brushing my hair and putting on some light make up I opened the door to Stacy’s bright smiling face.
