Harry walked along the dark bedroom, feeling his way against the wall. He had gotten a bit too carried away on his laptop and before he knew it, it was 2 am! On his crawl to his bed, he heard something familiar waft through the air; the Sherlock theme tune.
"Shit shit shit!" A voice swore, probably at the loudness of the music, making Harry smirk. Carefully, Harry walked over to the bed and stuck his head through the curtains.
"Need some help there?" Harry teased in a flirtatious manner, causing the boy to jump when he saw Harry's face.
"Fucking hell Potter!" Draco swore as he still tried to stop Benedict Cumberbatch's voice from waking up the castle. Harry simply leant over Dracos lean body and pressed the mute button at the top of the keyboard, muting the show. Draco, who was blushing at being so close to Harry, looked at him with wide shocked eyes.
"How did you ever?" He asked in awe. "Stupid Muggle machinery is out to get to me!"
Harry laughed, "You'll get used to it. Or it'll kill you!" Draco rolled his eyes and slammed his laptop shut.
"So Sherlock?" Harry asked, glad he's found someone else who was interested in a show he loves.
"I dont know, I'm only on the first episode but so far its good. Have you seen it?"
"I love it! I haven't seen the latest season though." Harry replied. Draco looked at the laptop and back at Harry, A blush creeping across his pearlescent skin.
"Well if you're not going to sleep, then maybe we could go into the common room and watch some?" Draco slowly suggested. Was this weird? I mean there's no guide on asking your old enemy to watch a show with you? All he hoped was that it wasn't awkward, as that would distract him from the show!
Harry looked at Draco, studying his face for any sign of him joking.
"Yeah, sure. But we're taking my laptop as its much better!" Harry replied. It's not like he would sleep anyway, nightmares tended to prevent that.
*(Read in Benedict Cumberbatches voice) Time skip to the next morning*
Hermione was always the first awake in the morning. She loved the couple of hours she has alone where she can just relax and wake up. This was her bliss. But this morning as she walked out into the common room, she saw she wasn't alone. Curled up on the large sofa, literally on top of each other were Harry and Draco. She cleared her throat and they both jumped up in shock.
"Uh good morning," Harry replied, his voice rough, telling Hermione about the lack of sleep he's had.
"I'm guessing you two haven't slept much?" Hermione laughed, making them blush.
"We stayed up till about half 5 watching Sherlock," Harry said, sounding slightly embarrassed.
"Its good, wanna maybe meet up after dinner and carry on watching?" Draco asked.
"If I can survive the day without watching it, sure," Harry replied before dragging himself to bed.
Over the next few days, the duo watched the show whenever they could. When they weren't watching it, they would be talking about it and looking things up on the internet. It's an understatement to say that they were obsessed! A week later, they were done. Tears ran down Draco's face.
"Why are you crying?!" Harry laughed as he closed his laptop.
"I'm still in mourning from episode one and its over!" He wailed. "What am I going to do with my life?"
"Re-watch them?" Harry suggested.
"Dont tempt me." Draco laughed. This was nice, just them bonding over something they loved. How they were enemies confused Harry now as he reflected back on it. They were so similar! Whenever Harry was around Draco, he felt at ease and extremely contempt. Maybe a new friend was what they both needed to finally pull themselves out of the post-war depression. Maybe they just needed each other? A rock for the other to fall on.
*A nice time skip, that'll cheer you up! (Issa quote btw also its like a week ahead)*
Harry walked into the common room, towel drying his hair. He saw a familiar sight snuggled into the armchair and a smile formed on his face. Like a lion, he prowled up to his prey before leaping on top of him, rubbing the damp towel into his pristine hair.
"Oh, you fucking git!" Draco gasped.
"What you reading?" Harry asked curiously.
"The complete Sherlock Holmes collection." Draco read. "You got it all wet! It's like your a dog drying off."
"Calling me a dog is a compliment so thank you," Harry replied. "But why would you read the books? You know what happens!" Draco rolled his eyes. He'd only been friends with Harry for a short while and he's realised some of the things he says are very dumb. He should write his own book of them!
"Because there are other stories that aren't in the seasons and because they have slight differences. Let me enjoy my classics!" Draco exclaimed dramatically. Harry grabbed the book and went to the first page.
"A study in scarlet? Well, they've just made the episode name fancier." Harry commented. Draco looked at him as if he was mad.
"Harry. I can't with you anymore. Please leave my atmosphere before I literally hex you to death." Draco said seriously, staring Harry directly in the eyes. Harry pouted,
"But I'm so comfy!" He cried as he curled up to Draco's arm.
"Well, your dumbness hurts my soul."
"Rude." Harry gasped before walking away sassily.
