"So we're agreeing?" Hermione laughed. Ron swore.
"No! You're wrong. Harry would never, would you?" Ron replied stressfully before turning to Harry.
"Welllll George could easily wind his way to my heart." Harry said with a laugh. Ron groaned.
"Harry nooo! My sister i could kinda accept but not George."
"Yeah Harry, go for someone nicer like Percy." Hermione said. However, Harry wasnt paying attention; something had caught his eye. Draco Malfoy in a tight, purple shirt.
"Earth to Harry?" Hermione said, waving her hand in front of him.
"Come on or we'll never get to hogsmeade." Ron said, rushing his friends along.
"Sorry mate, i was thinking of George." Harry replied, earning him a slap. He went to glance again, but Draco had slipped away.
The streets of hogsmeade, were packed with students holding bags on bags of purchases and the trio were not any different.
"Please 'mione can we go sit and get a drink before I die." Ron begged his girlfriend. She sighed.
"Let me just go in here as I need to pick up a couple books and then we can attempt to find a table somewhere." Harry aimlessly followed, not really caring too much at where he went as he'd already obtained the biggest bag of sweets to keep him satisfied. He followed his friends into the warm cosy shop and walked down the isles of bookshelves. None of the books stood out as interesting, however something next to them did.
"Malfoy." He said as he stood next to the blonde boy.
"Potter." He sighed and he grabbed a book with golden spine and read the blurb.
"I like your shirt." Harry said as he mimicked his action and picked up a book. "Purple suits you Malfoy." He added, making Draco blush.
"I-uh what." Draco stuttered.
"Congrats on the good news." Harry replied with a smirk before walking past Draco, who had realised his book was on raising wizard children!
*Next day my duddddesssssss*
Harry walked into the eighth year common room to be stopped in his tracks. Draco Malfoy lounging on the sofa in a tight purple t-shirt. Its fair to say Harry's heart stopped and fell out of his body.
"Harry? Are you okay?" Ron asked a very dazed Harry. Then he realised what Harry was staring at. "Noooo Harry! I'd rather you have George." He groaned. Was Harry that desperate? However, Harry wasn't listening as he walked over to the more desirable view.
"Purple again Malfoy? Some might say you've become a bit obsessed with the colour." Harry purred as he sat on the armchair across from Draco.
"Piss off Potter, its just a t-shirt." Draco spat back. Harry smirked.
"Its a very tight t-shirt. Suits you." Harry simply replied. He watched Draco blush and try to think of an answer. "Don't be embarrassed Malfoy, just complimenting you." He laughed before leaving.
Over the next week, Draco incorporated purple into his outfits. Whether it be a pin, jumper, or another purple shirt, Harry was loving it. Harry would compliment each and every one, loving how embarrassed Draco got. Draco on the other hand was in a mix of emotions. He just couldn't stop wearing the stupid colour! Tonight, there was a party for the eighth years and Draco was about to take it to the next level. He studied a box of lilac hair dye, this couldn't be too hard? He was a master in Potions so this should be simple.
"Draco unless you're going to marry that box, stop staring at it." Pansy said as she began straightening her dark hair.
"But Pans, my hair is in my top five features so if I fuck it up, I'm ruined!" Draco whined. She sighed and rolled her eyes at her friends child like behaviour.
"It comes out in two washes, so for you it'll be gone by tomorrow. If not, there's dye remover. Now shut up and cover your head." She said sternly. Draco took a deep breath and put the product in his hair.
A few hours later, Draco was looking himself up and down In the mirror. He opted for a tight black shirt and black jeans, making his pale skin and fluffy lilac hair.
"Draco what have I told you about staring, come onnnn!" Pansy said as she pulled her friend out to the party.
Harrys eyes scanned the crowd of people again, searching for a head of blonde hair, he wasn't here yet. The beer was warm in his hand, but he sipped it anyway.
"Don't look so gloomy Harry, come dance with me as Ron's pathetic!" Hermione giggled with a massive grin. He couldn't help but grin back and join his friend on the makeshift dance floor. It helped get his mind of it, but suddenly the loud shouts and screams went almost silent. The bumping bodies, stayed still and faced one of the bedroom doors. Harry mirrored every ones actions till he saw what they were looking at that. Draco Malfoy had purple hair. Harry couldn't peel his eyes from the boy, who was looking directly back. The party got back to what they were doing, but neither boy noticed. They only noticed each other. Harry was the one to move first, grabbing two fresh beers and walking over to Draco.
"Purple hair? That's taken it to a whole knew level." Harry said as he passed Draco the cold beer.
"Its lilac actually." Draco replied with a smug look on his face.
"Well whatever it is, it suits you."
"Um thanks I guess." Draco stuttered. He really needed to work on how he acted in front of Harry. The boys drank in silence, taking in the scene around them, however Harry couldn't stop to glance at Draco's hair. Was it possible that it makes him more attractive?
"Potter stop staring at me." Draco said blandly.
"Make me." Harry said before slapping his hand over his mouth, making Draco bust into laughter.
"Okay lets take his away." Draco laughed, taking Harry's beer away. Harry was definitely never drinking around Draco ago. "Do you really like it though?" Harry turned and faced Draco
"Yes! It looks amazing on you. Something about you in purple makes you sooo extremely hot, well hotter. Especially that shirt-" Harry clamped his hand on his mouth again.
"It appears that someone has slipped something in your drink." Draco said through a fit of laughter. "Thanks for the compliments though."
"I only speak the truth." Harry blurted out again, making him blush immensely. Draco couldn't stop giggling as he led Harry over to where Hermione and Ron were making out.
"Hi sorry to disturb you and your removal of each others faces, but I think this is yours." He said as he pushed a guilty looking Harry in front of them. "I think someone has slipped Veritaserum in his beer as he was confessing his love for me." Draco spat, trying to suppress a laugh at Harrys blushing face before turning back to the party.
*NEXT MORNING/ AFTERNOON CAUSE EVERYONES A BIT HUNGOVER*
Harry awkwardly walked into the common room, instantly spotting the person he had to face. Draco Malfoy. All morning he had been advoiding him, leading him to take some pretty large detours around the castle. But now, due to peer pressure from Hermione, Harry had to go talk to him. He stood in front of the boy and cleared his throat. Draco looked up at Harry with his dark, storm grey eyes.
"How can I help you Potter?" Draco sighed.
"I uh... I just came to um-"
"Spit it out Potter, I'm reading something." Harry shoved bouquet of violets into Draco's face.
"They're part of my apology, for last night. My drink was spiked and I was rambling and-"
"Potter shut up. I tested your beer this morning, it was Veritaserum." Draco interrupted.
"Exactly, I just wanted to clear the air and you know explain everything." Harry said awkwardly.
"You like me and that's great cause your not too bad yourself." Draco replied with a smirk.
"So do you wanna go to dinner or something?" Harry asked, a grin developing on his face.
"Fine, meet me here at eight. And bring roses, I hate violets and I'm so over this whole purple thing."
a/n: that was meh.
