Eighth years were the loudest at meal times. This surprised many as they thought the year group woud be too mentally effected to be happy again, but the group used this pain to bond.
"Oi hazza!" Draco shouted as the bruenette walked in.
"Hello drack the snack." He replied, giggling at the stupid nicknames they gave each other on that one drunken night.
"Hazza? Draco you're more creative than that!" Hermione squealed as he sat on Rons lap.
"Very true, i am quite the genuis. Mr Potter, i hearby call you... Hazzazz, ya know like pizzazz." Draco said dramatically.
"Oh god thats even worse!" He said he slid into the seat next to Draco.
"Potty?"
"Just stop before i murder you with a bread roll." Harry laughed as he threw it at him. Draco chuckled and stared at Harry in utter disbelief. Did he know how utterly gorgeous he was? Draco was in awe. He forced himself to look away but caught Hermione raising an eyebrow at him; he'd been caught.
"So Mr Genius, you free next lesson?" Harry asked with a smirk.
"I can be. Why do you wish to drag me away from my precious education." Draco replied, mirroring Harry's grin.
"Cause its snowing, I have a free lesson with and no one to play in the snow with." Harry frowned and put on the biggest puppy eyes Darco had ever seen.
"And you expect me to freeze my balls off, for your entertainment?"
"Oh no, your balls are too precious for that!" Harry exclaimed, taking Dracos breath away. "Come onnnn Draco. I'll love you forever."
"Dont lie to me my dear, you already do." Draco cooed calmy. However, on the inside, his heart had exploded.
"You know me too well!" Harry laughed before tuning into a conversation between Pansy and Ron. Draco on the other hand was having heart palpatations. Harry always done this. Flirted without noticing the affect it had on Draco. It drove Draco mad, not angry mad, but insanely in love. It was killing him knowing that Harry will never love him back.
*Time skip to end of lunchhhhhhhhh oooo*
"Its bloody cold!" Draco groaned as he pulled his coat on him tighter.
"Well that tends to happen when it snows." Harry said sarcastically. Draco rolled his eyes but couldn't stop the smile creeping up on his face. A blush had developed on Harry's face and snow was falling into his hair and beard he was attempting to grow.
"I know I'm a piece of art but take in the other view!" Harry giggled, noticing Draco staring at him. Draco sighed and took in the winter wonderland. However he couldn't enjoy it for long as something cold splatted against the corner of his jaw.
"Potter I swear to god I'm gonna kill you!" Draco shouted, initiating the snowball fight/tackling session. The boys used charms to fling perfect snowballs that always hit their targets, hiding behind parts of ruins and trees. Draco swore he saw people watching them through the schools windows! Suddenly Harry tackled Draco to the soft ground, ending up on top of him. Draco's eyes stared earnestly, occasionally flicking about to drink in Harry's features. It was as if the world had stopped for them. The coldness of the ground couldn't get though to them and remove the perfectness of this moment. Nothing else mattered.
"I think I won this one." Harry said, his voice barely a whisper.
"Nope!" Draco laughed before smashing a pile of snow over his head. Harry collapsed next to him, in a bundle of snow and laughter.
"It's weird to think how this was a bunch of ruins a few months ago." He sighed, glancing at what appeared to be a wall once.
"It'll never be the same." Draco replied.
"Never be the same Hogwarts. Too much has changed. Some things for the better, some for the worse." Harry said before facing Draco.
The moment was cut short by McGonagall interrupting.
"Boys! Get out of the freezing cold!" She shouted from the safety of the doorway. Harry laughed, smoothly got up and helped Draco up on his feet. They slowly walked back to the castle, both boys disappointed at how short their time was.
"Thank you. Now I'm sure Mr Malfoy here is suppose to be in lesson." She said, giving them both an all knowing look before walking away. The teachers knew that the students were still not ready for normalcy, especially the eight year, so didn't force them to go to lessons unless they had too.
