I remember the day that you saw my real messed up state. You were probably walking home when my dad pushed me off the porch as I stumbled on the pavement.

My eyes went wide when they locked with yours as you stood a few feet away.

You visibly flinched when you heard my dad scream. "STAY OUT! YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING BRAT!"

You flinched once again when you heard the door slam.

"Han Jisung!"

After recovering from the initial shock that you felt, you ran over to me and helped me up. "Wha.. what..." You trailed off as you cupped my cheeks, checking how bad my injuried were.

Fifteen minutes later, and we found ourselves seated on your bed as you finished patching up my wounds.

Your house was the nearest place where I could get first aid.

At first, I was hesitant, scared that your mom would catch me and that you'd suffer the consequences. But you said that she wouldn't be back until later that night.

The atmosphere  in the room felt tense for some reason. And I hated it. Although instead of discussing the elephant in the room, i decided to try and break the ice.

"So... who knew that we lived in the same neighborho-"

"-Where will you be staying tonight?"

Your words cut me off. As you spoke, your eyes remained on the cut on my lip that you were putting ointment on.

"Uh... I usually stay over at Felix's but if he doesn't reply then I'd sleep at a convenience store"

"What?!" The moment the words left my lips, you screamed in shock, accidentally pressing on a wound too hard.

"OUCH!"

"Shit sorry!" You purse your lips and toss the tweezers with a cotton to the side, covering your face in your hands before pushing your hair back with it.

"Han Jisung, a convenience store?!... Text Felix now so that I can sleep well knowing that you won't be sleeping in a damn 24/7 open store"

I didn't think that you'd be this worried.

After texting Felix, you continued treating my wounds in silence.

"Did he reply yet?"

"No-"

The sound of the door opening and closing startles us both and our eyes go wide when we hear your mom's voice echo throughout the house.

"y/n come down. I bought dinner"

"I'm not hungry!" You suddenly scream.

"I'll just go! I'll pass the windo-"

"-no! I'll just-"

"-but you'll get in trou-"

Our hushed whispers are cut short by your mom's voice that echoed from downstairs once again.

"y/n! Get down this instance! We are going to have dinner whether you're hungry or not!"

"y/n I'll just leave" I whisper once again.

"No stay! I am not! Letting you sleep in a damn! Convenience! Store!" You whisper scream.

"But-"

"-Han Jisung trust me. I got this" You say, taking my hands in yours and looking me in the eyes.

Shit. How could I not trust you when you're looking at me with those eyes?

"I'll just eat dinner real quick, sneak some snacks in my hoodie for you to eat then we can both get some rest... okay?"

This seemed like a really bad idea.
Is what I thought.

But for some reason, my words betrayed those thoughts.

"Okay"

You flashed me that smile that I'd come to love before getting off of the bed to head down. Right before you could exit the room, I spoke.

"Oh. And y/n?"

You turn around and arch a brow at me.

"Thank you"

"You're always welcome Han Jisung"
