"Why are you being nice to Jisung all of the sudden?"
Felix asked, glaring at Hyunjin as the two crossed paths in the hallway during break time.

Hyunjin chuckled. "Well aren't you a true best friend"

"So are you gonna answer me or do we have to figh-"

"I saw. I saw what happened when our grades came out last year. And I asked her. I asked her about what happened and when I found out, I felt so... stupid!" Felix remained silent at Hyunjin's words, waiting for him to continue.

"While she was getting beat up, I was joking around, flirting with her. But Jisung... he knew.  And he was helping her despite his own situation" A bitter chuckle escapes Hyunjin's lips and he contemplates a bit, wondering if he should say his next lines.

"And if I thought about it, I don't think I could've done what he's been doing for her. I can't sacrifice that much... so I have to suck it up, be there for y/n... and befriend her 'friends'. So do me a favor and stop hating me"

The air is tense and the corridor is silent as the two boys don't break eye contact.

"I have a new found respect for you Hwang Hyunjin. So sure, I'll stop hating you"

Hyunjin flashes Felix a small smile before heading off, with Felix mirroring his actions.

"Seungminnie I want to sleep" I hear you mutter as you and Seungmin eat lunch at the table beside us. Jeongin chose to hangout with you and your friends instead of me and the guys but it's fine I guess.

I sighed as Hyunjin's words rang in my head so I couldn't help but glance at him every once and a while as he ate with you guys. 

"Jisung. If you're that bothered, go talk to her" Chan suggests and I curse at myself for being so transparent about my feelings. But at the same time, I'm a little glad that someone's on the same page as me.

"Well, I was already planning to but... I'm still thinking about what to say" I mutter. 

"She got mad at you though... so shoudln't she apologize or something?" Changbin butts in. "Why are you putting in so much effort and letting her disregard it?!"

My eyes go wide and I rub my temples in frustration, suddenly irritated about being back on this topic.

"Felix and I already talked about this-"

"-Cause it's tru-"

"FINE! You know what?! Fine! You win! I'll do what you guys fucking wanna do!" I suddenly burst, slamming my fists on the lunch table before letting out a frustrated sigh and leaving the room.to cool off.
