Hiccup's POV

A sprinkle of water sprayed on my mask as toothless glided gently above the water before flying straight up into the clouds.

I ball my hands into fists pounding it at the blue sky grunting loudly. My dragon looked up at me with his big eyes, "I'm fine bud, just lost in thought I guess."

Toothless continued to stare at me, his worried expression not wavering, "It's just...why does he worry so much? Ever since I was little, he's been extremely overprotective. He never tells me anything either. All I can get out of him is 'it's in your best interest not to know.'" I laid flat on my black dragon, covering my face with my hands.

Toothless grumbled a response like 'could you blame him?'

A heavy sigh escapes my lips as I try to scratch the itchy scabs that lied underneath my scaled suit, "Your right...I guess after been taken by..." I paused feeling my whole body tremble with tears threatening to flow from my squinted eyes. Even the thought of saying his name made me feel uneasy. Like I was still on Outcast Island enduring the pain all over again.

Toothless warbled worryingly snapping me back into the present, "Sorry bud..." I mumbled my shaky hand petting his black, soft scales that rested on the side of his cheek.

Toothless growled as I hear the flap of wings fill my ears. I look over my shoulder to see multiple dragons with people on them, "It's about time you guys caught up." I smirked patting Toothless neck.

Snoutlout appeared on my right, gripping Hookfan's long horns, "Well, it doesn't take much for you to get so far ahead. Your dragon is so fast." He huffed glaring at Toothless.

A small smile appears on my lips, "Fair point."

"Hey guys!"

I glance over at Fishlegs who was gripping an old stained map, "According to this map, our new home should be straight ahead," He rolled up the map gripping Meatlug's saddle, "So keep a look out everyone!" His cheerful voice comforted my uncertainty.

"Are you sure you wanted to do this?" Astrid flew down to my left, I couldn't miss the worry spilling from her widen eyes.

I grunted, "C'mon Astrid...I'm eighteen years old. I can take care of myself. Besides, it's not like I'm the only one on the island." Rolling my eyes in annoyance, I pat Toothless neck causing the wind to get more fierce.

"I know that," Astrid's voice grew louder as she sped up beside me, "Your father is just trying to protect you. He loves you so much. After you were taken, I've never seen him more upset or determined to get you back." I glance at her to see her chewing on her bottom lip, "I couldn't bare to see that look from him again."

Tears filled my own eyes as the sound of a creaking ship fills my ears. I close my eyes only to open them to see my father panting heavily. He cradled my limp body in one arm as he fought with his other. His eyes raged with hate as he knocked one of the soldier's sword to the ground.

Viggo watched with amusement before slowly clapping, "Well done, Stoick. I must admit, your love for this boy amazes me."

My father's glare sent daggers straight through Viggo's soul except Viggo didn't even flinch, rather he smiled, "What is so amusing about some innocent boy's pain? How could you treat him like this?" His deep booming voice cracked.

"Oh Stoick," Viggo drummed his fingers against his chin moving closer to my father, "I don't care about him. I only care about getting what I want. He's a smart boy, Stoick." He got closer feeling the blade my father held in front of him touch his chest, "I need the boy's intelligence to get what I want. He has something that he stole from me." Viggo's hand grips the blade with an evil grin planted on his face, "I wanted to beat the truth out of him."

With that, Stoick pushed the sword with great force but Viggo swiftly moved the right with a small smirk planted on his face, "Tell me Stoick," He held up a hand motioning for the soldiers behind him to come closer, "how does it feel to see your son after twelve years?"

He gripped my body tighter, his lips hovering over my bloody forehead before he sharply turned toward Viggo slowly backing up toward the stairs behind him.

"Chief!" Hookfan fell through the upper deck standing in front of Stoick and Hiccup. The dragon growled releasing a wall of fire watching the soldiers stumble against the wall.

Viggo stared at the fire, with a twisted expression on his face, "Don't think you've gotten away Stoick. I will find him. He's my property! You hear me?!"

"Hiccup? Hiccup!"

I snapped my head toward Astrid to see concern written on her face, "Sorry.." I mumbled rubbing my thumb on top of Toothless head.

What if...he finds me? I can't go back...I can't go through that again...He robbed me of my childhood...Something I can't ever get back.

Tears fell freely from my eyes as the sound of the whip contacting my bare skin made me wince. My deep breaths quickly became shallow as sweat rolled down my face like a steady stream of running water.

I can't go back...I can't go back...I can't go back...

I gripped the saddle tighter and tighter wincing every time the whip hit my skin.

"Hiccup!" A cry of desperation filled my ears but I ignored it as the whips felt too real. I laid down on my dragon feeling my vision fading in and out.

"Guys we need to help him! Somethings wrong..." The panic voices faded away as my world turned pitch black.
