Bronte POV
I had been at practice for about an hour and a half when I looked up to see Brynlee sat with her video camera recording my practice. She claims when I am famous for winning the most gold medal at the olympics and as she said other running stuff that they will want videos of when I was younger.
I smile and wave at Brynlee before getting ready to run. I am the second fastest runner on the team, the fastest was a boy in senior year Tom, but luckily when we compete I don't race against him but if I keep practicing like I do I will bet him one day.
An hour and a half later I was getting dressed into clothes for the school day and out of my training stuff. I take it to my locker and throw them in. I head to my tutor room to meet my friends.
"Hi Bronte, where's you jacket?" My best friend in the world Jess asked me. Always at school I wear my team jacket but I must have left it in my locker by accident.
"I must have left it in my locker I will get it at break."
"I don't think I have ever seen you without it at school." Jess laughed. She was probably right, I was so proud when I got it and made me happy and my family were pleased.
We sat through tutor and then went to our first class which was Maths.
I kept up a decent grades of C's and a few B's compared to her siblings they were the lowest but they were enough to keep me on the track team which is all that mattered to me.
Half way through the class I really need the toilet and as I was making my way to the maths toilet when I noticed an out of order sign on the door. This wasn't normal as the bathroom weren't normally closed and the lights all seemed to be on inside but nether the less I walked to the next nearest toilets which also seemed to be out of order. This was now getting weird and if I wasn't desperate I would have gone back to class.
I knew I had to be fast now before I got in trouble I began a slight jog to get to the nearest toilets as I walked past my sisters classroom I pulled a face at her as I walked past. And she looked confused, before I mouth toilet. But even then she still wondered why I walked this far but no time to explain.
The toilet was working and as I was washing my hands I heard a ticking noise. Maybe I am just paranoid after changing bathrooms multiple times. I walked toward the door but stopped I had to check the noise. I cautiously walk toward the stall.
BOOM!!!
I along with the toilet doors fly backwards. And everything feels like it is moving in slow motion. A sharp high pitch screening filled my ears as I hit the floor three times before landing face down on the floor. Blood covered the floor beneath me as I couldn't move. I couldn't feel my right leg. I couldn't hear anything except the ringing. I suddenly felt numb all over and I couldn't fight my eye lids flittering shut. This was just an ordinary day. This wasn't anything that was meant to happen today. This wasn't planned in. Everything went.
Black.
