Dr Lexie Grey POV

It has been a week since Bronte was brought in. And she hasn't woken up. She has had six surgeries and now we are waiting to see if she wakes up now before we do anything else. I spend most of my spare time with her other wise she would be alone. Her family try and come in but they find it too overwhelming.

"Tiger, I am going to be honest you need to wake up, now. We are running out of time quite rapidly. I know it's hard and I know that you know that you have a fight ahead of you. But you can do it, okay Tiger?" A faint knocking sound caused me to stand up quickly from the chair that was next to Bronte's bed.

"You can come in." I say through the door. The women who emerged through the door was someone who I hadn't seen before come. She was wearing a sports outfit and here hair was pulled back into a ponytail.

"Hi, I'm Sarah Ford. I am Bronte's running coach. I talked to the parents and they said it was fine if I came to see her." She said with a shaky voice she was clearly shocked by the state Bronte was in.

"Sure, I was just keeping her company." I mumble out. I walk towards the door handle to leave when I am stopped.

"I am sorry to ask this but do you think you could stay in here too. It's just I don't really know how to do this."

"Sure. Where you there in the...?" I say not really sure how to describe it.

"No but my wife was. Coach Brown, she is the school's PE teacher. She is fine by the way. Well physically. It just kind of changes your view of the world I guess. She was going to come but thought that I may want to have a private visit as I know her better. I agreed at the time but now I can't be in here on my own. She probably wouldn't have been able to come in seeing how it has effected Bronte would have crushed her." Sarah finished looking at the floor.

"I know it's tough being here. It's one thing hearing about what happened and another actually seeing it with your own eyes. It's tough, we know."

"Can you tell her,... if she wakes up then. I have never trained a one legged runner but i will try and i will learn and i will teach you and we will do it together." Sarah stopped.

"I think she can hear you now!" I smiled and looked down as the room filled with silence.
