Lexie POV

The women that just walked in walked up to Tiger and burst out crying. Dr Robbins walked towards me and I stood back to give the women some space.

"Have you been in here this whole time?" Dr Robbins asked me in a whisper.

"Well I had to check up on her post surgery." I respond not taking my eyes of Tiger.

"Yes but a nurse could do it you should get some sleep before the next surgery." 

"I did sleep." I stated plainly.

"You slept in here?" 

"Yes, she needed to be checked on I was told she need constant supervision to make sure that she is stable enough for her next surgery. Also she doesn't like being left alone, when I talk to her it calms her down. She becomes more stable."

"Dr Grey?"

"I know. I know you aren't meant to get attach, I did the course I read the books. I know. But she is different. She should have died. You saw her. We all did. We all said that she should have been dead. She lost so much blood. We all did the course, we all read the book. But she is fighting, she is alive. And I want to fight for her. So, if staying here overnight and talking to her is going to help keep her alive then I will do it." I whisper harshly to her so, I assume, Tiger's mother won't hear. 

"She is alive... for now. Fight for her. Mrs Beale-Mitchell?" Dr Robbins replied to me before then adressing Mrs Beale-Mitchell.

"She is our little girl?" Mrs Beale-Mitchell

"Well, I can explain about her case if you are ready?" Through tears Mrs Beale-Mitchell nodded, "She was the closest to the explosion out of anyone in the school so her injuries reflect that. She suffered a major head bleed which is now under control because of Dr Shepard. She also had a leg amputee to her right leg just above the knee. And she has also suffered severe internal bleeds and..."Dr Robbins paused as she could tell that it was a lot to take in on her own. 

"She lost a lot of blood at the scene and it is a miracle she is even alive now. But as long as she keeps fighting we will fight for her. Her other doctors that operated on her are on rest for the minute but then I am afraid she has to go back into surgery shortly. As she has already had an operation on her leg and the first operation on her brain. She has many more ahead of her and I know this isn't some thing you want to think about but all her injuries are extensive. And I do have to prepare you for the worst to happen. If she makes it through the surgery's, she may not even wake up after that. But children are more resilient than adults. And we have seen kids and adults die from less extensive injuries. But if we are talking about what should have happened she wouldn't be alive. She should have been dead at the scene. But she wasn't which means she is already a miracle. She is already fighting and willing too." Dr Robbins finished as now Mrs Beale-Mitchell was heavily crying. 

Dr Robbins informed her that she needs to be prepped for surgery now and explained to Mrs Beale-Mitchell that we will inform her more thoroughly when all the doctors are here and took her outside to deal with paper work. 

"So Tiger, I guess I should find out your really name but I think I'm gonna call you Tiger anyway. It probably suits you more than whatever probably name you have right. I bet it's something boring or common. I mean I shouldn't speak my names Alexandra but that's why I prefer Lexie. But don't worry you will be Tiger to me. " I stop prepping her and hold her hand and look at her face. 

"Tiger. You need to listen to me now. You need to be okay. Not just for me. Not just so I can see you eyes. Not just so I am not just having a one sided conversation with you. Your mom needs you too. Your whole family needs you. And you need to fight for you. So you can get up and say I did it. So you can say you made it. So you can tell everyone that nothing is going to knock you down because you can always get back up. I know it's going to hurt. I am not going to lie to you. Even after all the surgeries. It's going to hurt like hell and you are going to question if it is worth it but trust me Tiger it is. Tiger you are stronger then that. You are too strong to give up. You are brave. I believe in you.  You are so much stronger than you think. Fight. Fight for you Tiger. Show them how strong you are, Tiger."
