A day later

Chloe POV

We had a restless night at Cece's bedside. We have yet to be able to see the girl who we think could be Bronte but we haven't heard from her. Both Brynlee and Colby haven't left our sides or Cece's and everyone is trying to find some light in the dark. The crying has stopped and everyone has gone into a state of shock.

The door opened to reveal doctors stood at the door and walked forward to the end of Cece's bed, as we Beca and I stood as Colby and Brynlee were trying to get some sleep.

"I am Dr Robbins and this is Dr Yang. We operated last night on Cecelia's..."

"Cece. She always hated Cecelia. It's Cece." Beca interrupts and I puts an arm on her to calm her down and let the Doctors talk.

"Sorry. We operated last night on Cece's heart. Due to the heart attack it caused problems in her heart which has caused her now to have high blood pressure. We need to keep her in the hospital for a while as it is newly diagnosed so we can monitor her and as in some cases similar to this high blood pressure can lead to heart failure and in extreme case needing a heart transplant. But kids normally bounce back a lot further than adults so it will be okay." The Doctor finished.

"Okay? How can you say things are okay? Things are far from okay?" I start and Beca stop me this time.

"I know it seems tough but we will monitor when she wakes up. If she gets up make sure you get a nurse to page us, so we can come check up on her."

"And the other girl? The doctor said we could see her to see if it is our Bronte." I spoke softly needed to know.

"She has only recently come out of surgery. Her injuries were extensive but she is alive. However she is in a coma but her brain is still working and she has more surgeries ahead of her. When she is more stable you can see her."

"And when will that be? Because we don't know where our daughter is? Because if that's not her we need to find her. We need to know Doctor. We need to know." Beca said.

"Okay. You can come and see her." Doctor Robbins said.

"Chloe you go!" Beca says looking at me. "One of us should stay here to be here if Cece wakes up." I nod and follow the doctor.

Lexie POV

I am in Tiger's room. We still don't know her name but Tiger seems fitting for now and she seems to respond to it. I haven't been able to leave her room. I need her to know that she isn't alone.

"Hey Tiger. You did well in surgery. And you fought through again. You just keep fighting okay. Their is someone who thinks you could be their family so luckily they should be here. When you wake up Tiger you better be ready to continue that fight and I can help you more if you are awake, okay? But you have to say alive for me. Even if your family is here I will still be here okay? I will fight with you. Just don't stop for me okay?" I was stoking her head, which has been shaved before the operation as they needed to get to her brain better, trying to make sure she knows I am here. When a knock at the door jolts me away.

Doctor Robins comes in with another women. The women walks up to Tiger and takes one look at her covered in tubes and hairless and bruised and cut and bursts out crying.
