A few moments before

Cody POV

I had P.E first which wasn't too bad just a bit of effort for the morning. I was definitely mom's (Beca) son. And to be honest all my siblings were like mom, we weren't morning people. Except Bronte she gets up and goes for a marathon every morning. How she does it I will never know.

The lesson was outside as we were running but it was better than being closed in a class room.

BOOM!

Suddenly everyone's attention was on the building. It had a panic glow creeping out a few windows of the school.

My heart sped up as I began sprinting toward the school.

"Stop no you can't go in." Coach send stepping in front of me her hand on my shoulder the few boys who weren't paralysed with fear come to be too stopping me from running back. They didn't understand no one in my class had family in that building.

"Let me go, I have to go in, I have to. My sisters are in there. Please." I begged and screamed and continued to fight.

"And what if I let you go in there and you get injured. Then you can't help your family and sisters can you." Coach Brown looked me dead in the eyes.

I couldn't tell her she was wrong. I wouldn't be able help them if I were hurt.

"We need our phones." I said thinking of how to help on the outside. We had to give our phones to Coach Brown in P.E lessons to keep them safe. I continued, "We can't go in but we need to call people about what is happening we don't know what is happening inside. We should call police, ambulances and family members who can talk to other people's parents and fast."

Coach Brown handed out the phones and told people to call Emergency services. I just had to call my parents.

I Dial Chloe once. Twice. A third time. I am praying for her to answer any time now.

"Cody, I am in class—"

"Mama, please get to the school fast they has been a explosion or something I am not sure I am outside. The girls are inside I don't know where they are. We can't go inside I don't know what happening in there I called you first get mom please... I don't know what to do."

"Cody what do you mean? Breathe sweet heart. Are you okay? What kind of explosion?" Mama panicked on the other end of the phone.

"I don't know Mama. Please get here fast. If I get hold of the others they may have more information and I will text you." I panicked out.

"Cody we will get there as fast as we can. I love you."

"I love you too." I said and hung up the phone. I was panicking I heard the police and ambulances coming as we ran around to the front of the school. We filled in the police men as much as we know. 

They were about to move when I gun shot went off. And we all froze. Another occurred straight after. And suddenly the ambulances weren't clear to go in anymore.

The police continued in. As I called Brynlee fast.
