the five spent the day together, eating pizza, getting to know one another and playing lots of fortnite.

jack and rylee were outside eating some more pizza as the both talked and stared off at the sky where a beautiful sunset would soon take place.

"do you like la?" jack asked, looking to his right at the girl with the green eyes that seem to be brighter than usual.

rylee nodded, looking over at him then back to the sky. "it's beautiful here. it just tends to feel a bit lonely." she explained.

"yeah, i know what you mean.." jack mumbled.

rylee turned her head, looking to him. "you feel it too?"

jack looked down, playing with his hands and shrugging. "yeah. i mean i guess it's hard to believe considering i have the guys and i have people who support me and who will always be there for me.. but sometimes you just feel alone even though you're not."

rylee looked at the curly headed boy, her heart aching for him because she knew how it felt. she knows how it feels to feel alone and lonely even when you're surrounded by people.

"it's not hard to believe," she began, looking around, thinking for a moment. "everyone feels alone sometimes. sadly, it's normal. but just because you don't have all these people doesn't mean you don't feel lonely. believe me, i know."

jack looked up at her, her looking over to him as well, giving him a small smile.

"are you feeling lonely right now?" he asked her, taking in her features.

"no. i feel like i'm talking to someone who completely understands and helps me feel anything but alone." she admits.

jack smiles at her, nodding. "me too."

meanwhile, corbyn and christina are just returning to the boys house, saying hi to the three inside, asking where jack and rylee are.

"uh, outside i think?" daniel says, not paying much attention as he's doing something on his phone.

christina moves towards the window and sees the two laughing as they playfully push each other and smiles at the sight.

"they'd be cute together," corbyn says, placing his arm around her, kissing her cheek.

christina smiles, looking at the boy she loves and back to her bestfriend. "trust me, i'm working on it." she tells him, giving a small smile.
