christina and rylee still had a week remaining of their trip and each day rylee spent with jack made her dread leaving even more. after what had happened with rylee, somehow her and jack felt closer to each other.

jack and rylee were currently out getting something to eat, hands intertwined as they made their way into the restaurant.

"hi! how many?" the waitress asked, a smile on her face.

jack smiled back, being polite as he told her 'two' and following the waitress rylees hand still in his.

once they were seated and all settled in, rylee gave the curly headed boy a smirk.

noticing this he smiled, raising an eyebrow. "is there a reason you're looking at me like that?" he asked, in a playful tone.

rylee giggled, smiling at the boy in front of her. "soo.. is this like a date?" she questioned, of course in a jokingly state but couldn't help but really hope it was deep down.

"i- yes? i mean if you want it to be? i would like it to be? unless you don't want to!" he spoke quickly, tumbling over his words and noticeably nervous.

rylee gave a light laugh, adoring him and how he smiles, and how he stutters when he gets nervous. "i was messing with you, jack. but i wouldn't mind this being a date." she told him, adding a wink.

jack couldn't help but smile, shaking his head as he couldn't wrap his mind around how adorable she was to him.

after ordering their drinks, along with their food since they already knew what they wanted; jack took a sip of his drink, directing his attention to rylee. "so i know you know i have siblings.. but do you have any?" he asked, genuinely curious and wanting to know everything there is to know about rylee.

nodding, she placed her glass down and cleared her throat. "um yeah. i have a step brother. i don't know if you'd count that, i know a lot of people who don't."

he furrowed his brows, tilting his head slightly with confusion. "of course i do. it doesn't matter if they're blood or not, he's still your family." he said.

nodding, she agreed giving him a smile. she felt extremely lucky to be here with him, getting to know him and being able to talk to him about absolutely anything. she found he was incredibly understandable. she could tell him something that most would instantly judge her for while he'd actually be there, talking to her and doing his best to understand what it was that she was saying or what had happened.

she found everything about him attractive. not exactly physically; that was a plus. he was so kindhearted, had an amazing sense of humor, he's talented and pretty successful but still humble. she found him courageous and confident (but not overly confident) and she liked that about him.

she could go on for days and days. the only thing she wasn't very fond of was the fact that every time she thought about him, something that came up in her mind was that she'd be leaving soon, going back home which was on the other side of the country.

and although she knew she could text and call him, eventually someone will become to busy to be on their phone constantly and to respond to the texts all the time.

that scares her because of how attached she has become.
