sadly, the week went by to quick. rylee was dreading having to leave in the morning. she had formed great friendships with the boys and had a great liking for jack. she still had so much to learn about him and although she really didn't want to leave, she had to.
the seven of them were just getting back from dinner, enjoying their final night together. as they were all sat around the boys house, talking and enjoying each others company, jack had asked rylee to speak to her outside.
rylee and christina shared a look, unsure of what it was he wanted to talk to her about. ther was no hiding rylee was nervous. you could tell by the way she moved her balance from one leg to the other, looking questionably at jack.
when they were outside, he gave her a reassuring smile, trying to calm her anxiousness.
jack bit his lip, scratching the back of his neck right after. "this.. this is probably a little late to be saying this and completely wrong timing considering you're leaving tomorrow.. but- i know you're going back to new york and all but i still want to try to have something with you." he spoke, grabbing her hand. "i really truly do like you rylee, and i know i shouldn't have asked your last day here but would you be my girlfriend?" he asked, a nervous expression upon his face.
smiling, rylee pulled him into a hug. "of course, yes."
pulling away from the hug, jack pulled her into a kiss, wanting this moment to last for as long as it could.
after spending a few minutes alone, the two made their way back inside to spend time with the rest of their friends, sharing stories, telling jokes.
rylee along with christina would miss the boys and the boys would miss them as well but they knew they'd see eachother again soon.
eventually, rylee and christina had to make their way home, saying their goodbyes and shedding a few tears as neither of them wanted to leave.
the boys weren't able to meet them at the airport in the morning and the girls didn't expect them to. it was an early flight and the boys had things to do that day anyways.
rylee could feel the tears building up inside her, but she refused to allow them to fall. her lip trembled as she let out a shaky breath, trying to contain herself.
she'd never be able to understand how christina does it. she just met these boys two weeks ago while christina has known them for such a long time and she had to leave them like this quite often. she had to leave corbyn.
as they made their way on the plane, rylee getting the window seat, she knew that if she stayed awake, she'd think too much. so putting her earbuds in, making sure the music isn't too loud but also not too soft, she closed her eyes and did her best to drift off to sleep.
