the next few days, the girls didn't see the boys much. although they texted a bunch due to the group chat one of them had made.
rylee and jack facetimed quite a bit at night and texted pretty often throughout the day but today was the day of their show.
the two did have backstage passes which rylee was thankful for due to difficulties she had in large crowds.
the girls had already arrived and made their way in, christina going to find corbyn before his performance to wish him luck.
rylee stayed to where she was lead, pulling out her phone and scrolling through twitter until someone had wrapped their arms around her, making her jump a little.
moving her head to the side, she smiled as she saw jack, turning fully to hug him.
"are you nervous?" she asked, giving him a smile as she fixed one of his curls.
jack smiled, playfully pushing her hands away. "yeah.. but it's a good nervous." he told her.
rylee nodded, beginning a conversation as the other six made their way into the same room, all of them talking and the boys getting ready to head onstage.
"you know, a good luck kiss would be nice." jack whispered, a smirk on his face.
rylee laughed, rolling her eyes, kissing him on the cheek as he frowned.
"you know that's not what i meant." he said, puckering his lips as she giggled, pushing his face away from hers.
"rylee," he whined, pouting.
rylee laughed before pouting as well. "jack," she mocked, whining as well.
jack glared at her, shaking his head as she burst out laughing, not being able to keep himself from smiling.
"how about a good job kiss when you're done?" she suggested, raising an eyebrow.
jacks eyes lit up as he nodded, a blush on his cheeks.
"alright boys! it's time!" a voice called.
"alright i gotta go, wish me luck." he said softly, kissing her cheek.
smiling, she kissed his as well, "good luck." she said.
the two smiled at each other once more as jack left the room, a smile still on her face while christina shook her head. "you two are so getting married."
"shut up!" rylee laughed, blushing.
throughout the show, rylee admired how amazing the boys were at what they did. they had amazing personalities and such amazing talent.
as the show ended and they left the stage, coming back to where the two girls were, rylee smiled seeing jack come towards her with a huge smile on his face.
wrapping his arms around her, he smirked. "i believe someone said i'd get a kiss when i was done to celebrate what an amazing job i did." he said, smiling and moving a strand of her hair behind her ear.
"hmmm, who said that?" she jokingly questioned, putting her arms around him.
the two smiled at one another before leaning in, their lips connecting, none of their friends really taking notice of what it was happening until zach had let out the girliest squeal, everyone's attention turning to him as he looked at jack and rylee.
pulling apart, they looked at the other five with small awkward smiles as they awed and asked when 'this' happened. rylee blushed as she leaned against jack, he wrapped his arms around her.
after some time, they could finally head out and go home. the seven of them walked out as a group, sticking together as a group was waiting for them as soon as they stepped outside and rylee swore she felt her heart drop,
of course the boys stopped to take pictures with the girls, some asking christina as well while rylee somewhat hid not wanting to somehow get caught in the middle of the crowd.
"ry, come here," jack exclaimed, waving her over as he smiled.
rylee shook her head, saying no and frowned as a few people made their way over to her.
"oh my gosh rylee!"
it wasn't that she wasn't appreciative of the people who supported her, it was that these things ended up making her extremely nervous and tended to make her panic.
smiling she greeted them, taking pictures and thankful it was only a few girls. the real issue came when they had to head towards the car but the crowd didn't exactly want to break.
christina stood by her best friends side as she tried to keep her calm while they walked in the center of the crowd.
people were grabbing onto rylee along with everyone else, worrying her more and more each minute. it got to the point she lost christina but she kept going, just wanting to get to the car.
"guys! please i'm sorry! but watch out!" she heard christina shout.
"rylee." jack called, grabbing her hand and pulling her towards him near the car.
her heartbeat had increased quite a lot at this point, a few tears falling from her eyes as she struggled to find her breath.
"hey, hey. it's okay i'm here. everything will be okay, just breath." jack spoke softly, running his fingers through her hair as he did he best to comfort her.
rylee closed her eyes, shaking her head as a few more tears fell. "i- i can't breathe." she gasped, trying to take deep breaths but still shaken up.
jack held her face in his hands, directing her face to look directly at his. "i'm right here, breathe with me okay? i'm not going anywhere."
he noticed that she began to calm down hand held her against him, wrapping his arms around her. "hear my heartbeat? focus on that." he said, holding her against him still as he made his way into the car, meeting everyone else in there.
"is she okay?" christina asked immediately, frowning.
jack nodded as he continued to speak softly to her, calming down the crying girl who had finally caught her breath and was no longer struggling to breathe.
