the seven of them had arrived at the restaurant they'd be having lunch. any one could tell jack and rylee had somewhat of an attraction towards one another although the two thought it was too soon to admit it as they only met yesterday.
the group laughed as zach pretended to hit his head on a pole and falling to the ground making passing pedestrians roll their eyes at him.
rylee loved being around them; they were always doing something and everyone was always laughing.
jack walked beside her, not far behind the rest of the group. he watched as she laughed at daniel attempting to jump onto jonah's back and failing miserably. rylee looked over at jack, laughing, trying to see if he had saw what happened. as she looked she noticed he was already looking at her and smiling causing her stomach to fill with butterflies and a pink tint on her cheeks.
"hurry it up lovebirds!" christina shouted, looking to where jack and rylee were as she was already at the entrance with the rest of the boys.
rylee rolled her eyes before speeding up and making her way towards the entrance, leaving jack behind for only a moment before he smiled again, catching up to her and the rest of the group.
christina was vlogging for the day, pulling out her camera once they were seated, getting quite a few looks but she didn't care. throught the meal, christina was giving dares to the others as their lunch went on. pointing her camera at rylee, she began to laugh.
"ry," she began, her laughing interrupting her sentence. "stand on the chair and announce that you're engaged."
rylees eyes widened, the boys laughing along with christina. hearing the boys say things like: 'oooh' and 'do it!'
closing her eyes and cringing at the thought of what she was about to do, she hesitantly stood, glaring at the rest of her friends.
she stood on the chair, the group trying to hide their laughs as christina recorded. "attention everyone!" she yelled, getting the attention of just about everyone. "i just wanted to make an announcement that i'm super excited about!" she explained pausing a moment. "i'm engaged!"
the people in the restaurant were confused seeing she was so young but began clapping and cheering for her as a waiter made their way over to the table, telling them it's not acceptable behavior and asking for them to leave.
"nice going rylee, you got us kicked out," jonah joked, laughing right after due to how funny he found the whole situation.
"at least he was nice about it," christina said, shrugging.
rylee let out a breath, cheeks still red from embarrassment. "i hate you guys," she mumbled.
"woah woah woah! i did nothing!" daniel exclaimed, placing a hand over his heart.
corbyn laughted, agreeing. "yeah, it was all christina, not us." he said.
"whateverr," she replied, rolling her eyes but smiling after to show she was joking around before speaking again, "can we get coffee?"
jonah's head snapped in her direction, nodding immediately. "of course we can."
christina on the other hand sighed. "you really don't need coffee ry," she told her, giving her a look.
rylee didn't show much of a reaction, only shrugging as jonah began telling them of a good coffee shop a few minutes away, saying it'd be easier to just walk.
on the way there, zach was talking to rylee about video games, jack being sure to be somewhat beside her as well.
"so have you ever played fortnite?" zach questioned.
rylee laughed nodding. "i have," she said, moving her hair from her face. "i feel like everyone has at this point."
jack laughed as he nodded, agreeing with her. "are you any good?" he asked, looking to the girl as she looked down.
rylee somewhat grimaced, shaking her head. "i mean, if we're being honest i'm way better than christina but i still suck." she said, laughing.
"maybe we'll play sometime?" jack suggested, looking to the green eyed girl with a small smile.
she looked at him, smiling as well before nodding. "yeah, i'd like that."
