later that morning, jack woke up and texting rylee being one of the first things he does. making his way to the kitchen, he saw corbyn and daniel there as well and said a quick 'good morning' to them before looking for something to eat.
"good morning!" daniel said happily.
jack gave a small laugh, not able to understand how he was always so happy and energetic even when he had just woken up.
corbyn placed his phone down before smirking at his curly headed friend. "soo, i heard you were up pretty late talking to rylee.." he trailed, raising an eyebrow.
jack flared at daniel before looking to corbyn, shrugging. "yeah, we were on facetime." he responded.
"you guys would be cute," corbyn said, totally sounding like a girl as he said it.
jack scratched the back of his head, a slight blush rising to his cheeks. "corbyn i literally met her a week ago."
corbyn furrowed his eyebrows, shrugging. "so?" he questioned, looking to his friend and noticing he wasn't going to say anything so decided to continue. "ever heard of love at first sight?"
"shut up," jack groaned, sitting down at the table as well and pulling out his phone.
"oooh, gonna text her right now?" corbyn teased.
jack gave him a sarcastic smile and a thumbs up. "i am actually."
daniel shook his head at the two, sitting beside the two as he ate his cereal.
rylee and christina had been walking around for a few hours in the morning before deciding to grab some lunch and take it back to the room and just hangout there.
the boys show was in a few days and christina was basically forcing rylee to learn all of their songs before the day came, telling her she can't go to a show and not know the songs.
rylee knew a few, but not all of them and she probably wouldn't be able to learn them in only three days but she'd do her best.
once they made their way back to the room, corbyn had called christina asking if him and the boys could come see them and of course she said yes, wanting to spend as much time with him until it was time to go home.
the two girls began to eat their lunch, rylee having coffee once again and watching youtube videos as they waited for the boys arrival.
"room service!" one of the boys called, mimicking a woman's voice and knocking on the door, the girls laughed and christina got up to open the door.
greeting them all and giving corbyn a quick peck, she invited them in.
"hey rylee!" daniel smiled, waving to her as he sat in the chair in one corner of the room.
"hi guys." rylee smiled, giving a small wave as well.
jack made his way over to her, giving her a small hug as he asked what she was watching.
christina glanced around the room before deciding to speak up. "so anyone have any plans?" she asked, giggling.
everyone looked at once another before giving each other small shrugs, no one having any ideas.
the seven of them just hung out in the room, talking, laughing and doing stupid things. at one point they attempted to watch a movie but soon grew bored and now a dance battle was taking place.
rylee was laughing as her phone began to ring, quickly glancing at it, she saw it was her mom. excusing herself, she made her way outside on the balcony, she accepted the call, attempting to sound cheerful.
"hey mom,"
"hey ry! just calling to check in? how's everything?" she asked, sounds overly excited.
rolling her eyes, she sighed. "pretty good, i'm in la right now with chri-"
before she could even finish her sentence, her mother cut her off. "you're in la? did you ever ask my permission because i don't remember you doing so?"
rylee knew this would happen, she shouldn't have said anything.
"no i didn't ask because i'm eighteen and i live on my own so i don't feel the need to ask my mother every time i want to go somewhere." she said, tensing up as she became slightly angry.
jack took a glimpse at her through the sliding glass door, his smiling dropping a little when he saw rylee placing her hand over her face. she looked stressed or maybe angry, he couldn't tell for sure.
an argument soon grew between rylee and her mother, her mother telling her she was very irresponsible with how she spends her money and she can't be taking all these trips but rylee was aware of what she could and couldn't do and she had enough money to take these little trips.
she had nothing to worry about, she was lucky.
as her mother began raising her voice through the phone, rylee couldn't take all her yelling so she quickly said goodbyes, ignoring her disagreements and hanging up the call.
rylee and her mother's relationship was never the best and her father wasn't in the picture. it was always something that stressed her out because of course she loved her mom.. they just had trouble seeing eye to eye.
hearing the door open, rylee turned slightly to see jack making his way onto the balcony to join her.
"everything okay?" he questioned, sitting beside her.
rubbing her eyes and taking a deep breath, she nodded. "yeah." she replied, lying straight through her teeth.
"rylee, i can tell you're lying." jack said hesitantly. "you don't have to talk about it if you don't want too.. i just want to make sure you're okay." he explained, giving her a concerned look.
she looked over at him, giving him a small smile. "i'm sorry. it was just a little argument between my mom and i. we don't get along very well." she admitted, shifting her glances around the balcony.
jack frowned hoping he didn't upset her by asking but placed a hand on her leg for comfort, giving her a small smile.
giving him a small smile, she placed her hand over his, the lightest pink tint on her cheeks as their friends watched this interaction from inside.
