packing for more than a few days was always something difficult for me. i mean, i'm a girl. us girls, we enjoy our fashion and some tend to care deeply about their appearance. although i didn't really mind what i seemed to be looking like, my best friend did.

i never really did take much offense to it; she was simply just helping me out and i appreciated it but why did i need to waste time worrying about impressing people?

i believe that there are times for that, but to sit in front of a mirror everyday and make yourself "presentable" for the day was tiring for me.

now, back to packing. when it was just for a few days, i was perfectly fine with it. just pack clothes for each day and some to sleep in. simple.

but when you're going to los angeles, california with your best friend for a week, you need to put a bit more of thought into what you'd be wearing.

usually, whenever i'd go, i never really cared. i'd be wearing hoodies, oversized shirts and outfits that tend to embrace the insanely lazy person i am. but this time that i'm going, my best friend, christina, was dragging me along with her.

she's visiting her boyfriend and going to one of his shows. i'm familiar with the band and the boys but the only one i've ever met was corbyn due to me living in new york and never really being with christina whenever she happened to be with the boys.

i as well, make youtube videos and am somewhat an influential social media person but for me, it's tremendously easier to be your absolute self when you're in front of a camera rather than in person which is why you won't see me out very often and if you do, i'm probably not interacting with absolutely anyone.

so anyways.. as i'm suppose to be packing, i'm actually not. you see, i found myself for some reason actually playing cool math and while i know i really do need to be packing because i leave at 7 a.m; i'm playing cool math games.

my phone began ringing, causing me to lose focus and die in the game. cursing at myself, i look at my phone to see that christina was facetiming me and i widened my eyes, knowing she was going to want to see my suitcase.

hesitantly, i slid over to accept the call and moments later, her face popped up on the screen, sarcastically smiling at me in the best way possible.

waving at her through the screen i smiled. "heyyyy my absolute favorite person in the whole wide world! you look stunning as always!" i exclaimed.

christina laughed, rolling her eyes but smiling anyways. "ah, thank you. i know. so, how's the packing going?" she asked.

i nodded as i looked at my suitcase that had one pair of jeans in it. "it's actually going amazing." i replied, giving her a smile.

"rylee, you're such a liar. show me your suitcase!" she demanded, playfully.

i switched my camera around showing her my suitcase and i heard her sigh on the other end.

"really? that's all you got. you know what? i'll stay on the phone with you and tell you what to pack and then you can add whatever else your little heart desires. okay?" she questioned.

i sighed but placed my phone down to where she'd be able to see me. "fine, let's get this over with."

it actually took us quite a while to get through the packing. we kept getting distracted and telling jokes, laughing at little things that one of us would do. but about an hour later, we did finally finished and i decided i'd just pack any other little things i needed in the morning after i got ready.

"alright so i'll meet you at the airport tomorrow around 6, okay?" christina asked, giving me a sharp look.

"yes of course. i'm always on time, i'll be there." i stated, laughing.

she rolled her eyes, laughing a little as well. "okay, make sure you vlog and bring all your camera stuff and laptop stuff and charge-"

"christina, i know. i won't forget any of it. you know i'm actually not that bad at this kinda stuff, i just make myself seem somewhat dumb but i can assure you i'm not." i say, cutting her off.

"i know. i'll see you tomorrow. please actually try to sleep, love you!" she somewhat shouted.

"probably not going to happen," i mumbled before quickly changing my expression due to the look she gave me. "love you too!"

i giggled as she hung up on me, deciding to clean up my apartment a little because i truly didn't enjoy coming home to messiness.

i began editing my video, getting distracted by online shopping pretty often but still getting it done.

and although i didn't get one minute of sleep, i did have my video fully edited, which is a great accomplishment.
