"I am taking you to your punishment," Agatha said, answering my question from earlier.

Oh no. This can't be good.

After a few minutes of silence, my head lurched forward as the horse made an abrupt stop at an old, abandoned castle.

"You're not very great at driving chariots," I commented as Agatha hopped out of her seat onto the cracked pavement.

"Says who? The girl who's 'not very great at' making passing grades?" she laughed making air quotes.

"Hey! I spend my down time reading! If that's not good enough for you, then I don't know what is!" I shot back.

"You need to spend your down time worrying about your studies instead of books," she said under her breath, "now get out of the chariot."

"No," I pouted, "shouldn't you be using your 'magical powers' to turn me into a frog or something?" I joked.

"Ha ha. Very funny. I'm saving my energy for your special surprise," she explained.

"And what might that be?" I asked.

"Oh, you'll see."

And just like that, we were stood inside of the castle. I looked around. The castle walls were covered in several layers of dirt, dust, and mildew. It smelled of death itself, and seemed to be rotting inside and out.

"Look old lady, if you think that using magic tricks to take me to a smelly, old castle is going to scare me up, then you must be crazy," I said truthfully.

I'm guessing that this made Agatha really mad because her eyes turned blood red, and her facial expression was the complete opposite of happiness. The room around us started to fill with thick smoke that had an unpleasant odor. I coughed as the smoke started to fill my lungs, making it nearly impossible to breathe.

"I will not tolerate your behavior anymore!" she yelled, making me jump.

"You shall stay in this castle for the rest of your life, and will never be able to escape!" she yelled after chanting the words of some type of spell.

As soon as those words escaped her lips, I was tied down to a chair and she stood in front of me with a sinister smirk.

"I hope that you're enjoying your time here because this will be your new home for, I don't know, the rest of your life!" she told me.

"My mother and father will figure out your wicked plan, and come to rescue me in a little while." I said confidently.

"Oh, sorry. I hate to rain on your parade, but after I compel the entire town to forget a girl named Maya Fergison, I don't think that your parents will even recognize you!" she said. "Well, I must be on my way, I wouldn't want to be late for the town meeting, now would I? Ta-ta!" Agatha then, with a snap of her bony, wrinkly, fingers, disappeared into thin air, leaving me tied to a chair in this stupid old castle.

"Someone, anyone, please help me!' I screamed at the top of my lungs before breaking down into tears.
