After I saw Agatha's face looking down from that window I ran. I ran as fast as my legs would take me. I ran anywhere, as long as it was away from that evil lady.
Soon, I was out of breath, so I had to stop for a break. I was panting with my hands on my knees until I heard my name being called. I turned to see a very confused looking Juliet.
"Maya? What are you doing here?! I thought that you were in the house!" she whisper-shouted.
"I was cleaning, and watering, and I saw them and they saw me and they're gonna-"
"Slow down! Who are you talking about?" Juliet asked me.
"Agatha and Damian, they-"
"I hate to cut you off, but let's finish this conversation at my place," she said leading the way to her house.
Once we were inside I explained what had just happened at Agatha's smelly old shack. I waited patiently for her to reply.
"I'm mad and glad that you did that," Juliet said finally, "I'm mad because you gave yourself away, but glad because you found out their plan."
"I'm sorry. I didn't know that I was talking my thoughts!" I apologized.
"Your apology is accepted, but we still need to find out how we're going to stop them from cursing us again."
There was a loud boom at the door that startled both me and Juliet.
"What was that?" I asked. She just shrugged her shoulders.
There was another boom, along with the sound of broken wood. We were just outside of the back door when there was a third boom that cracked the front door in half. We ran out to the backyard, and went down an unfamiliar road. We were almost a block away from the house when all of a sudden we were lifted from the ground. It was the invisible force pulling us back into the house.
Once we were in the house, broken wood chunks floated in the air and molded themselves into a door. This door didn't have a doorknob on it, so that we couldn't open it. I heard the eerie chanting of the new curse that was bound to be put on us. I turned and saw Damian wearing a gray cloak, and silly old Agatha was stood beside him wearing all black clothing, along with a pointy hat and a broomstick. I couldn't take this nonsense anymore.
The angrier I got, the darker it was outside. I wasn't able to comprehend how the weather drastically changed along with my mood. I was too mad to care.
"Here we go again with the candles and seances, and stupid magical spells! Enough is enough!" I yelled. "Look at miss 'I'm the wicked witch' over there with a dumb broomstick and hat! This isn't some kind of joke! You're so pathetic!" I spat in Agatha's face.
I then moved on to Damian screaming, "Look at mister 'revenge' over here with some useless candles and rose petals scattered across the floor! Do you know how much effort I put into cleaning this house?! I expect each and every thing to be picked up off of this floor when this is over! I want the floors so shiny that I can see my reflection in them!"
"Oh and why, why, why, would you ever think about marrying this dumbo over here?!" I said to Juliet, pointing towards Damian. "It's like he put you under a spell or something!"
I think that I must've crossed the line because Damian tried to hit me with a bursting flame of fire. I dodged it right before it exploded.
That's when I remembered that I had powers, too. I had those magical, green orbs.
I closed my eyes and imagined that I was holding one, and a green flame appeared. I'd never wish death, or anything too extreme on any body, so I thought about my wish carefully.
"Make Damian stop," I said to the orb barely above a whisper.
I opened my eyes to an unconscious Damian, and a very surprised looking Agatha and Juliet.
Agatha rushed to his aid and begged him to wake up.
"What did you do to him?" She yelled at me, "WHAT DID YOU DO?"
"I just ruined the chances of you becoming a witch," I said showing no mercy for what I just did.
"This was my only chance, my FINAL chance of teaching Juliet a lesson!" Agatha sobbed.
The next thing I knew, all of the wind was knocked out of me. All I saw was white dots, and soon I blacked out.
That was my third mistake that I had made that evening. Not making sure that Damian was still unconscious.
