Some time later...

I was lonely, and bored out of my mind. I had been here so long that I had lost count. I think that I had left off at 937 days, or something like that. Looking for a way to escape was useless. There wasn't any way to break or reverse the spell, so I had gotten to the point where I just couldn't be bothered anymore. I had lost all hope.

This brings you to where I was now, sitting in this smelly old castle.

Agatha must have wanted me to die of boredom because the spell wouldn't let me jump off of tables or hurt myself in anyway. The spell also didn't change the way I looked or smelled. I looked exactly how I did when she first dropped me off here.

At around noon I decided to head to the bell tower and look outside of one of the windows there. It was really high up, so I cold see the whole town from there. I brought a feather and some paper with me so that I could finish the map of the city that I was in the process of making. The map was made up of three pages, and had very precise details, like the street names and building names. I spend about two hours finishing up the map, and I stared at my masterpiece in awe. It wasn't that hard to draw everything because I took art class in school, and I was very familiar with the streets in my town.

I made the map so that I could have something to go by IF I ever got to escape. I thought about what I would tell my parents if I ever got the chance to see them again. I couldn't just come up to them and say "Hey, I am your long lost daughter who was captured by a witch named Agatha, who made the whole town forget about me, and put a curse on me that never let me leave an abandoned castle." As I thought about this, I heard a faint voice calling my name in the main hall of the castle.

"Maya. Maya. Where are you?"

"Hello? Is anyone there?" I called out to the voice.

"Maya, there you are. You haven't got much time. You need to leave." the voice replied.
