"What more can I possibly show the lady? I don't have anything else in my suitcase!" I exclaimed.
"Well, your argument is invalid Maya, because we can always show her the time machine," the voice said calmly, which was the total opposite of how I felt at the time.
"Your a genius, whoever you are! I wouldn't have ever thought of that!" I said. "Do you think that the machine can show us a specific event that has occurred in the past?"
"If I'm not mistaken, I remember that someone once told me that a button with a sideways triangle will show you moving pictures," the voice replied.
"Well, that's great! I have the perfect plan to get Juliet to believe me!" I said as we reached her house.
After a little bit of persuasion I was able to get her to come and see the time machine with me. I looked around to make sure that no one was spying on us, and opened the door to the time machine. Juliet and I sat down as I looked for a triangular button in the controls.
I pressed the button and a holographic screen popped up asking for the date in which I wanted to watch a 'video' on.
"I guess that the thing I'm about to show you is called a 'video'," I announced after I typed in the correct date on the keyboard. A few moments later, I was on the screen sitting in the hallway at my school.
"How did this thing know what has happened in the past and future?" I thought as the video progressed.
The video showed everything that had happened from the time when I first saw the castle up until now. When the video was over, we exited the time machine and went back to Juliet's house to talk things through.
"Now that you have seen what has actually happened, do you believe me?" I asked her as she sat down on a flowered couch.
"Yes, I believe you."
"Okay. So are you ready to get to work on a plan?" I questioned.
"Yes. And I will answer any questions that you might have," said Juliet.
"Okay. My first question I have for you is are you planning on doing anything very important soon? Like important enough for a certain Agatha to be mad about?" I asked.
"Well, not really. I'm planning on getting married in the next month or so, though," she responded.
"Okay. Does Agatha know who you're marrying?" I asked her.
"Yes. We both know him personally from school." Juliet said in a daze. "He's oh so dreamy, and handsome, and nice and-"
"I get it!" I interrupted, causing her to realize what she had said while blushing.
She apologized and I continued on with what I was saying, "Anyways, who, might I ask, is this lucky guy and why do you think that Agatha would be mad if you married him?"
"My fiancé is Damian Simmons, and he actually used to bully people in school. Back then me and Agatha were best buds, and I would always be there to defend her if he tried to be mean, and she would do the same for me. You might wonder why I would marry someone as mean as him, but he really isn't that bad once you get to know him. He apologized to all of his former classmates after high school graduation, and that's when we started talking. He said that the reason why he was mean to everyone was because he was being bullied himself. The more we talked, the more I grew closer to him. Once Agatha found out that he proposed to me, she started telling me that he was still terrorizing people, and that he shouldn't be trusted." Juliet finally finished.
"I think that we have found the motive for Agatha's actions." I said.
"We need to make a plan soon, before time runs out," the voice said.
"Who said that?" Juliet asked me.
"Oh, no one!" I said laughing it off.
"No it wasn't," she assured me, "It sounded like another person's voice."
"Now that I've answered some of your questions, I think that it's time you answered some of mine." Juliet said.
