Chapter 40 :Hoe Hoe Hoe

CHRISTMAS TIME ! The time of gifts , food and an excuse to get drunk around family without anyone caring because they are drunk too! After James and I decided to try and work things out between us and me not having to hide my feelings for Jace anymore , I was starting to feel better. I mean , I still haven't talked to my mom but Im working my way to it.

Mariana is back from New York until after New Years so I'm often over the house. Emily is staying over Dylan's house for Christmas tomorrow and I thought I would let Emily's parents have the house for themselves for a while.Mia said that she's staying with a new friend she made ( which I found weird) but I didn't question it.

Mar , Shawn and I are currently in Jacob's room just laying around and talking really.  With everyone here , I can't help but think about Jace.

" You Guys know who Jace is spending Christmas with?" I asked laying on the floor.

" Well his dad is in the hospital.... and his mom is most likely filling the void of  her heart with alcohol and men so I doubt she's home." Shawn said while playing in Jacob's hair.

" Wait his dad is in the hospital?" Mariana asked.

" Yeah long story .... don't think it's my job to spread it." I said playing with my phone. " You think I should go over there and see if he's okay ?"

" Aka find an excuse to go over to his house." Mar said jokingly.

" It's a good excuse though.." Jacob said. " Go ahead."

I ran down the stairs before James could ask any questions about where I was going. I knocked on his front door and I nervously waited for him to answer.

" Oh hey Elle !" Anne said greeting me with the wisest grin.

You think if I stare at her heart hard enough I could make it pop?

" Why are you looking at my boobs like that ?" She said folding her arms.

" What ? - I  wasn't -ugh ! Where's Jace?" I said rolling my eyes.

" Not here." She said smiling.

" Then why are you ?"

" because I can be -"

" Anne whose at the door ? Jace said coming up behind her.

" nOt hErE," I said mocking her.

" Oh hey Elle what's up ?" He asked.

Normally I wouldn't care about how Jace looked wearing all black and his hair up with glasses but , damn I was melting just looking at him.

" Um - Christmas- you - alone - wanna come - house ?" I said fumbling on my words.

I'm not nervous at all :)

" Um yeah sure , Anne was just about to leave anyways-"

" No I wasn't" Anne said butting in.

" Yeah you were ," Jace said while raising his eyebrows.

" Now that I'm thinking about it BABE , you shouldn't spend Christmas Eve alone. I'm sure Elle would love to have us BOTH over just for a couple hours. Right Elle." She said while innocently batting her eyes.

I wonder if she blinks fast enough her eyelash extensions can make her fly away.... and get hit by a plane.

"Sureeeee" I said while grinding my teeth. " the more the better right!" I said sarcastically.

" Great lets go !" She said pulling Jace's arm across the street.

I really need to tell Jace that Shawn and I broke up.
