Room #12 [hiatus]

Chapter 41: One day

" Why is she here ?"

" Man I don't like her"

" Elle don't you know not to bring stray animals in the house"

" You do know I'm right here?" Anne said folding her hands.

Everyone has bundled on the bed leaving Jace and Anne by small couch near the bedroom door.

" Hey babe can -" Jacob said to Shawn

" Bro ! He meant meant bro ! Haha Jacob you accidentally called YOUR FRIEND BABE!!"

"My friend ?" Jacob said questionably.

" Dude how do you accidentally call your sister's boyfriend babe," Jace said while laughing.

" Boyfriend !" Everyone said in unison.

" Umm Jace , Elle and I -"

But I cut Shawn off with a long peck before he could finish.

" Ehem babe can we talk outside? And uh Jacob and mar follow me ehem .. please." I said nervously laughing.

We all walked out the room and made our way to what use to be my room and closed the door.

" Elle What the hell us going on ?" Mar said.

" Yeah sup with you kissing all up on my mans!" Jacob said folding his arms.

" Your mans? Guys calm down ! Jace doesn't know we broke up okay." I said sitting on the bed.

" Well no shit! And isn't it obvious?" Mar asked.

" Actually Jace is always hanging out with Anne so she isn't actually around us to realize that we broke up." Shawn said.

" Wow I've been missing so much." Mar said sitting beside me.

" Well I was going to tell him tonight but that didn't work so well." I said.

" Hey how about we take Anne out the house and have u guys talk for a bit? It Christmas Eve I have some last minute shopping to do anyway." Shawn suggested.

We all came out of my room and made our way back to Anne and Jace. When we opened the door Anne was sitting on the couch alone and we realized that Jace wasn't in the room anymore.

" Where's Jace ?" I asked Anne.

" I don't know in your backyard or something." Anne said texting on her phone.

" Well blondie come on we're going shopping." Mar said to Anne.

" Without Jace ?" She asked.

" I'll go get him and meet up with you guys." I said.

Before Anne cuz protest Shawn lifted her up and they all left the house before she was able to break away from his hold. I went into the backyard to see Jace sitting on one of the sofas.

" Hey .... you okay ?" I said sitting beside him.

" Just thinking .... I miss my family..." he said while tracing his tattoo on his wrist. " I'm just not use to feeling alone on days like this you know. But , Anne has been keeping me company lately.  It feels nice you know. I'm starting to get over my feelings for you ... you know so that you and Shawn can be happy ...." he said reaching for my hand.

" Umm Jace about that -"

" No Elle let me finish...I care about you... I really do but I have to let you go. Anne is who I have to be with right now."

Hearing Jace say that made me feel as if I just got shot in the chest. I was waiting for him so start laughing as if it was a joke but he didn't.

" Um ... ha - yeah , yeah I totally agree," I said faking a smile.

What else was I suppose to say ? Jace has been going through a lot and really needed someone to be there for him... even if it wasn't me.

" Hey look it's Mid night," Jace said showing me his phone. " Merry Christmas Elle."

" Yeah ... Marry Christmas..."
