Room #12 [hiatus]

Chapter 28: Finally

It took us an hour until Emily and Dylan were ready. I wore a black fitted cropped t-shirt with my light washed colored shorts and black converse. I decided that I would flat iron my hair and wear it down in a side part. When we arrived to the party it's was crowded and filled with people everywhere.  People were making out in dark corners, you had people getting high on the roof ( ironic really) and most of the crowd was inside.

Dylan parked the car and we walked up to the door where this tall muscular boy stood in front of.

"Five dollars dude," he said handing his hand out to Dylan.

Dylan paid him and we entered the house. From outside it seems small but the inside was huge. The living room had seemed to be cleared out to make a dance floor and there was a DJ in the corner.

" Hey Elle you won't be drinking tonight right ?" Dylan asked.

" Nah not in the mood tonight," I explained.

" Good take the keys Emily and I are gonna go get some drinks , we'll be right back."

I went over to an empty couch that was placed in the corner. Since everyone was two busy dancing or doing other things I decided to read some fanfics to pass the time. I was 20 chapters into my yoonmin fic until I felt someone sit beside me.

" If your gonna ask me to dance it's a no," I said not looking up from my phone.

" Wow after not talking or texting me that's the first thing you say ?" I heard a familiar voice say.

" Oh hey Shawn...," I said putting down my phone.

" Gonna explain why you have been avoiding me and I find you here at Jackson's house?" He asked folding his arms.

" I didn't think you would have been invited. Plus I should be asking why are you here." I said

" I was texting Jacob-"

" You and Jacob texting ?"

" Yea I came with him , Mariana and Mia but that's not the point, the point Is you stopped talking to me. Your boyfriend."

The lights in the house suddenly went dark and it was filled with glow in the dark decorations and colorful party lights. Getting a brilliant idea I got up and looked into the sea of people on the dance floor.

" Let's play a game , if you find me in this crowd I'll explain whatever  you want me to. Later," I said running off into the crowd.

"Wait Elle!" I heard Shawn say behind me.

I pushed my way through the crowd and stared to get lost within it .The song Bum bum Tam Tam remix was playing and all I saw around me were girls twerking or at least attempting to. Not wanting Shawn to  find me , I started to act drunk and twerking along with everyone else.

If I was being honest it was fun dancing and letting loose without having to be intoxicated.

I should do this more often.

I was too busy throwing that ass back that I didn't even notice a pair of hands gripping my waist. Coming to this realization I quickly straightened up and held my head down not wanting to see who was behind me.

Shit that was fast

" why stop now Bumblebee," I heard A very annoying but sexy voice say In my ears.

I quickly turned around and met Jace's eyes.

" Did this Jackson guy invite everyone ! I'm sorry I'm drunk"I said rolling my eyes and fake giggling.

" Yes actually, it was a broadcast message hun and no your not."He said laughing. " Decided to break up with your boyfriend yet?"

The song changed and Aquatinted started playing.

" Didn't you say you don't want us to talk until I do ?" I said shifting my gaze to his lips.

This is so wrong.. but damn I miss his lips

I didn't realize how close our faces were until I felt Jace's breath on my lips.

" seeing you here tonight makes me wanna rethink that."  Jace looked in my eyes then to my lips. " Elle I really want to kiss you right now" he said breathlessly.

Elle self control.... Shawn is here.

" Jace ..." I said not realizing that I was whispering.

Everywhere seemed to have froze and it was just us.

" I can't" I said placing my hand on his chest but not pushing away.

Jace lifted his hand and ran his thumb lightly over my bottom lip.

" Please," He whispered while biting his lip.

Ah fuck it

I was about to devour Jace's lips until-

" Elle ?" I heard Mia say behind us. " Jace ? Wait isn't Shawn here ?"

" Follow my lead," Jace whispered.

" Elle ! I think you've had too much to drink. Hey Mia that's your name right ? Nothing happened she just thought I was Shawn."

" Isn't Shawn black ?" She said.

" Ha in here is dark anyways umm- I'm going to take her out for some air out in the back yard."

Jace held me and I stared to pretend that I was too drunk to walk. We walked away from the crowd and stopped in a dark hallway away from the rest of the party.

Jace backed me into a wall and held on to my hips.

" Elle I'm not gonna kiss you until you break up with Shawn," he said into the crook of my neck.

" Jace it's not that easy, it's complicated." I said leaning into his touch.

Ugh I neeeed to kiss him again.

" Elle it's not. I know you don't like him like you use to anymore. I know you feel as if it's the safe way to go but Elle I can be your safe option too. I've waited so long. Please just say your going to break up with him so I can fucking kiss you !" He said gripping my waist even tighter.

I can't take it anymore

Jace was right. I did feel as if Shawn was a safe option and if I'm being honest ever since I started to actually acknowledge my feelings for Jace I can't help but loose feelings for Shawn.

I grabbed Jace's shirt and pulled his lips on mine. The kiss was full of hunger but also with so much emotion. As we pulled away I bit onto his lip.

" I'm gonna break up with Shawn. I promise." I said breathlessly.

Jace lift me up and I wrapped my legs around him.

" Finally," He said smiling.

" Finally," I said back.
