" Get in the car," I said as I pulled up to Anne.

She picked up her bags and slammed the front door.

" wanna tell me what happened?" I said  driving to Anne's house.

" You need to play me double for this bullshit ! He left me on a side walk ! In the middle of nowhere !" She yelled.

" Your house is like 10 minuets away from here-"

"Doesn't matter ! Ugh I just wanna hit him -"

" But you won't. I didn't pay you to abuse the guy for fucks sake! I'm paying you to ensure that you keep him and Elle away from each other. The plan already got fucked when Shawn told Elle about Jacob!" I said pressing on my breaks at a stop sign.

"What about the recording you have from camp?" Anne said looking at me.

" You know the conversation Shawn and Jace had ? You know where Jace said -"

" Oh my gosh Anne your a genius !!" I said while reaching over and hugging her. " Now get out my car I said while opening the door behind her.

" But this isn't my house !" She yelled as I pushed her bags out the car.

" Don't put your hands on him , or you don't get paid shit. You got that ?" I said closing the passenger door.

" Ugh fuck You !" She said picking up jet bags.

" Nah baby that's you job, see you tonight." I said before driving the car.

Elle

After what happened with Jace and Anne at school , I decided to go someone I didn't think I would talk to for a long time.

Mom

But she wasn't home so I had to settle for James.

" h-hey James .... can I talk to you ?"

James stood there with wide eyes and and his jaw practically hitting the floor.

" of course! I mean - ehem - yes sure , come in" he said frantically opening the door.

I made my way to the couch and James awkwardly sat beside me.

" So uh ... the weather is-"

" James no."

" Got yah" he said instantly shutting up.

" Have you ever been tired of being angry ? Like you feel so exhausted that your willing to just let it go even though it hurts you a lot..." I said playing with Jace's keychain.

" I never meant to hurt any of you..." he said looking at me.

"Then why did you do it ? Everything was going well... Mariana , Jacob and I never had any problems getting along , you and mom seemed happy even after finding out what happened with our dad and everything was perfect. Why fuck it up?" I said looking at him.

" Because I'm fucked up Elle. Well I was." He said looking at the floor. " it's because everything was perfect. I didn't think I deserve any of you guys.... Your mom is a good woman and you all are great Kids. Elle I'm not asking you to forgive me right away but I'm trying to make things better."

" I'll try..." I said holding his hand. " it won't be easy but I'll try...but if you hurt my mom I'll cut your balls off."

" right ,noted." He laughed. " So you going to move back -"

" Baby steps James" I said laughing.

" Yeah your right sorry."
