clarke watched you as you helped the others come out from the bunker, taking little kids hands and leading them down the rock path to the ground. helping older folks so they wouldn't miss a step. she smiled at how kind you were, being careful with every single person that exited the ground. you were always the kind one, from the day you landed on the ground.

you offered to help clarke with some of the hurt kids six years ago, when you were sent down. she appreciated it more than you thought. you were only doing the right thing, what your parents had taught you. being a terrible person wouldn't help anyone.

you giggled to yourself, glancing back at your girlfriend who only stared at you, the biggest, goofiest smile on her face. "what?" you asked innocently.

"nothing," clarke replied, crossing her arms over her chest. you helped a few more people before bellamy shooed you off, telling you to catch up with clarke. it had been a long six years without her. somehow though, you had hope that she wasn't dead. you had no proof, no explanation for how she could have been still alive, but a piece of you was still holding onto the thought that she wasn't gone.

and you were right. "this all seems familiar." clarke whispered, grabbing onto your waist and pulling you close once you reached her. you smiled and tilted your head, furrowing your brow. a way to tell her to go on.

"you helped me take care of the 100, those first few days when we landed. this just...it's like déjà vu." clarke explained, looking all around. you sighed happily and leaned into her, placing you head on her shoulder.

"i remember." you told her. she ran her hands up and down your back, smiling against your shoulder as your warmth radiated off you.

"i missed you," you stepped back from her, her hands falling from where they were placed. she grinned, her head tilting down with a blush. "i missed you every second, clarke griffin."

she brought her gaze back up to you and a smile grew on your face. "i'm so glad you're back home."

you chuckled and turned to bellamy who was smiling down at you. the others thought you were crazy for thinking she was alive, for thinking the nightblood worked. but you thought they were crazy to think abby hadn't been able to do it. bellamy, though-even if he also didn't have any hope she was alive-still stuck by your side and never turned down the idea that maybe she made it.

you were right.

"after this wars over, after everything is back to normal,, or as normal as we can get it, i want you to tell me everything about madi. everything that i missed while on the ring. okay?" you questioned her. she answered by pulling you into her, wrapping herself around you and smiling to herself.

"of course."
