little a/n before you read,,, this is extremely long so have fun
The day had been long, way longer than you appreciated and all you wanted to do was curl up onto the small cot in your room. After realizing everyone would be stuck in the bunker for more time than anyone had imagined, everything was hectic. You and the others came down from the ring a few weeks prior. So much had changed when you arrived.
Diyoza and McCreary were...well they were a problem, the others in the bunker were stuck and Clarke was alive. She was alive. That was the biggest shock of them all. Even with being stuck in the exact same spot that the grounders, Octavia and the others were in, knowing that she was alive was all that mattered. You missed her so much.
You wandered into the dining area, people were scattered around the tables, whispering, shouting. It ranged. Clarke was off in the corner, hands folded on the metal table with a worried expression painting her face. Glancing down to your feet, you hesitated before going over.
You spent six years grieving the death of the girl you loved. She didn't know, and probably never would, but that didn't change the fact that everytime you saw her your heart both leapt with joy and ached with pain. Without even thinking about it you walked over, taking a seat across from her.
"Hey, what's up?" You asked, your voice quiet. She shook her head. You noticed the tension in her shoulders and the way she held in a deep breath she wanted to let out. Reaching across the table you grabbed her hands, gingerly running your thumb against the soft skin.
"Nothing. I'm fine." She avoided your gaze and pulled her hands into her lap. You sighed and leaned back, taking in the girl before you. Her hair was in a new short style that you adored, her jacket hung loosely over her shoulders and she looked beautiful. As always, though.
"You aren't fine. Don't lie to me," you replied. You moved to try and look at her, to see the deep blue oceans in her eyes. "Come on, follow me."
Pushing out from the table, you pulled her up with you, dragging her away from the eyes that followed and lingered for far too long. You swerved in and out of grounder and sky people, ignoring Clarke's pleas to stop. As you guys got further away, less people appeared until it was only the two of you wandering through the halls.
"Y/N, please, just tell me where we're going?" Clarke half-whined, pulling you close to her as you guys walked through a strange door. You took a breath through your teeth, shivering at the intense cool air that swarmed around you. The freezing cold wasn't apart of the plan. But it gave you a new idea.
"Just trust me," you shushed her. Clarke stayed close, head whipping around everytime you guys stopped to get your surroundings. It was dark, only a few dim lights on the wall. Finally reaching your destination, almost tripping over a few boxes in the process and nearly tumbling into the floor with Clarke, you opened the door to another room and flicked the light on.
