Chapter Nineteen:
SAHLA'S P.O.V
"Sahla I'm taking the twins out. Stay in will you?" Daddy called out.
"Okay! Goodbye daddy!" I shouted and I heard the front door close.
I sighed and rubbed my forehead. Just seeing that idiot's face ruined my mood.
I entered the parlor and switched on the TV, switching to channel 118, Telemundo.
The last episode of Blood and Wine was playing and I got more comfortable.
Ding dong!
"Urgh!" I sighed and got up, walking to the door.
As I opened it, I said; "What did you forget now daddy?"
My mouth hung open and my eyes roamed his face.
Seeing him up close now, he's really changed.
"Hey Salma." He smiled holding out a tray.
I eyed him suspiciously. "What do you want?" I snapped.
"I just brought you a welcoming shepherd's pie." He said shrugging.
"You can hold your trash." I grumbled, closing the door but his leg blocked.
He pulled the door open. "You've changed Salma."
I didn't bother reminding him my name was Sahla. It wouldn't matter. "Well you haven't changed a bit Ahman. You're still the jerk that dumped me at prom."
"You're still holding a grudge? Come on,"
"Are you gonna waste my time because I have important things to do." I gave him my signature roll of the eyes.
"I'll treat you to lunch. Call it a date."
I slammed the door on his face.
That jerk!
He made me miss the finale.
The door knocked several times but I ignored it.
"I'll leave your pie here." I heard him shout.
After about 5minutes, I peeked through the door and sure enough, the pie was on the floor, all alone.
I sighed and opened the door, picking up the tray. It had a paper attached to it.
I walked inside with both and dropped it on the dining table.
Opening the note, I sat down.
You can contact me with this number; 081034567## 😉
I hissed and tucked it into the pocket of my trousers.
I helped myself to a slice of the pie; I mean, I shouldn't let that go to waste right?
It actually tasted good, I took three slices and kept preserved the rest for later.
I ran to my room and grabbed my phone.
I expected at least a missed call from Tanko but I found none.
I called him.
"Hey bae," he said.
"Hi b-" I started only to be cut off.
"Listen uhm... I'm busy but I'll call you later." He said and hung up.
I pursed my lips, not in the mood to talk to any of the girls.
I got bored with nothing to watch and no one to talk to.
I removed the note from my pocket and copied the number.
Don't think I actually wanted to talk to him or anything, I was just bored.
My story with Ahman started when Daddy bought this house.
Ahman's family also owns the neighboring house and I saw him once when I was curiously peeking out of the window.
My heart beat faster for him ever since. Up till now actually, but thus time because of pure anger and hatred.
'Hi, its Sahla.' I typed.
I waited for a reply but none came.
Groaning, I threw the phone to the couch.
Why was I stupid enough to even talk to him?
Stupid Ahman!
