Poem/Quote of the day:
Nothing can dim the light that shines from within

Chapter Twenty Eight:
SAHLA'S P.O.V
Just because she's daddy's daughter doesn mean I'm gonna let her be the queen of my house.
After all, I was here first and she's not taking over my throne.
After a month and three weeks at the hospital, today is the day she's coming back. They're planning a kind of welcome back picnic/lunch for her which is silly.
Sahal is happy even though he doesn't wanna say it.
Daddy's confession was really hard for me and even after I told Sahal that even if we didn't share the same genes and blah blah blah we're still his kids, I have this feeling that he's gonna abandon us when Afeerah's back. I'm scared of losing my dad.
But I'll fight for him because he's my father and only my father.
Daddy has already gone to the hospital to get her they're probably on their way back.
The plan is that we're to shout "welcome home Afeerah" when they come in.
Home.
It's not her home. It was never hers. It will never be hers.
But I'll do as I was told and leave everything alone. Something is bound to happen without me even interfering.
A few minutes passed and there was a loud horn.
I quickly ran out of my room and situated where we were told to be; which was in front of the front door.
Sahal was already there when I arrived, some workers were there too.
The door was opened and in they came. Daddy was supporting Afeerah by her shoulder and she was in crutches.
"Welcome home Afeerah!" Everyone shouted.
She smiled shyly and they both got in.
After all the welcomes and stuff, they got settled in the parlor.
Everyone was quiet and it was so awkward.
"Lunch's ready." A maid announced.
"Lets go darling." Daddy said to Afeerah.
My heart burned with jealousy. She's already taking my father's love away.
"No. I'm not hungry. Can you please take me to my room?" She asked weakly.
Did I forget to tell you she was given the room beside mine? It was bigger than mine, purple being the theme. She even had a huger bed and a wardrobe twice as big as mine.
"Alright honey." Daddy said carrying her. "You two can eat lunch." He said and left.
I was too angry for words. This is bad. I have to fix this before she steals my father.
Sahal was looking at me with a disapproving look.
"Don't look at me like that Sahal. She doesn't deserve it." I snapped.
He shook his head. "Just give her a break. She just got back. Don't try anything."
My bond with Sahal has increased this past month. We're closer than before.
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes and left to the dining room
