Professor: Yay! They finally kissed! I am so happy. As for the plot twist that I had planned for this chapter, I was talking with a friend and discovered that it was actually out of character for Quill and so I had to change it a bit. But I hope you all like it anyway!
...
Medli gulped as she stood outside the door to one of the guest rooms. 'I really shouldn't be here. It's probably nothing...' she said to herself, but couldn't make her body move away. In her heart she knew that that she had to tell him, that it wasn't her imagination.
And who else was she supposed to talk to?
Hesitantly, she reached out and knocked.
Behind the door, noises could be heard of someone walking around, towards the door. Finally, the door opened and a very sleepy looking Link, dressed in his blue pajamas, who seemed to be glaring at her out of the one eye he had opened.
"Oh, sorry!" Medli said quickly at seeing him, "I didn't know that you were still asleep!"
He rubbed his eye, "Nah, its ok."
She shook her head, "No it isn't. I assumed that you would be awake since it was 10 o'clock."
At that, Link's eyes widened quickly, "I slept in until 10?!"
Medli nodded.
Link could have screamed. Instead, he threw the door open so that Medli could come in and ran towards the bed, hurriedly grabbing his boots and shoving them onto his feet.
"W-What did you need?" Link said, finally getting the struggling boot on his foot.
"I was hoping to talk to you about something..." Medli said, watching with raised eyebrows as he searched around for his green tunic.
"What about?" He asked her, looking under his bed.
"Well, the other day...I had a strange dream..."
"Ok..." He said, looking up at his bed after realizing that his tunic wasn't underneath it.
"I saw you and you were with someone."
"Who?"
"I don't really know," she said, looking to her right and seeing the tunic in plain sight, seemingly unnoticed by her friend, "He wore a tunic like yours and you two talked about Sages and played a song."
Link stopped his search and looked up at her, his eyebrows scrunched up in confusion, "Me and....Are you talking about Fado?"
"Is that his name?" Medli asked, lifting the tunic up and holding it out to him.
Gratefully he took it and went into the bathroom to change, raising his voice so that Medli could still hear him, "Why did you have a dream about Fado and me?"
"I don't know," she said, walking forward and sitting on his bed, "I was hoping that it was just a dream...but I know that it's not for some reason. I thought that you might know."
".....It wasn't just a dream. That really happened."
"Then why would I..." her voice trailed off as she got lost in her own thoughts. A minute later, Link walked out of the bathroom, now dressed properly, and grabbed his hat from where it hung on the bedpost.
"I don't know. Maybe we should ask Red before I leave. He might know." He pushed the green hat onto his head and smiled at her.
Despite herself, Medli couldn't help but laugh at how goofy he looked.
"So," he asked as he grabbed the rest of his things, "how is Quill doing?"
"Annoyed that everyone keeps asking him that," she responded, "The potion healed him and he says that he is ready to go as soon as you get down there. Amy too."
