Professor: Hey everyone. So my goal is to have this done by the end of the year and since we are so close to the end, it may just happen. I'm excited, but also nervous, frankly because I am afraid of the quality of the writing when it comes to the ending. I want it to be as great as it possibly can. Well, here goes nothing.
I do not own the Legend of Zelda or Doctor Who.
Also....Breath of the Wild! It's out! *fangirls*
And...you ready for the Doctor's secret? No skipping to the end....but it's there *evil little smile*
...
In the years that followed the battle under the Great Sea, Tetra could never remember the Daleks. Everyone told her she had been there, everyone told her what happened, but she never remembered a bit of it. It seemed like it had been wiped from her memory somehow. She sincerely hoped that it would come to her one day, but the last thing she remembered before waking up to the fight with Ganon was the lower chamber of the castle invaded before she was taken prisoner.
The Daleks never got to remember the battle either. But the Doctor never forgot. Not one moment of it, for it reminded him of the guilt he carried, not only for Hyrule, but also for Rose.
The battle itself both seemed to go on forever and was over rather quickly. The Sages fought with all they had, Quill and Link helping where they could, but as soon as the Doctor told Amy all hope was lost, the two time travelers stopped fighting. Instead Amy made a list of regrets in her head.
Not traveling with the Doctor more.
Images of the star whale and meeting Winston Churchill flashed through her mind. At the same time, another Dalek broke free of Saria's vines.
Never getting to meet her parents.
Memories of growing up with her aunt while Link shot arrow after ice arrow.
Never getting married or having kids.
Quill was brought to the forefront of her mind. She knew what that second golden feather meant. She made Hayll tell her before they left Dragon Roost. She would've said yes. Amy had just been hoping that Quill would tell her himself instead of keeping it a secret. He didn't seem like the kind that kept secrets, although watching him dodge a Dalek's beam while trying to get to Impa and help, she realized that she didn't really know him either.
And finally, not being able to help the Great Sea.
This wasn't how adventures with the Doctor was supposed to go. They saved the day, they always did. Well, more him than her, but she never let him know that. No need to stroke the alien's ego of course. The Great Sea depended on them, even if the Hylians didn't know it. But this was how it was ending, torn down by the Doctor's greatest enemies.
Against her will, tears came to Amy's eyes and the Doctor looked around at the battle in shock. There really was nothing he could do. With only his screwdriver and the Daleks intent upon destruction, he was out of options.
The Daleks knew this of course. They thrived on the desperation they knew he had. Every effort and attack they gave was intent upon getting to the Doctor, but the fighting group was keeping them at bay for a few moments. Not for much longer.
That is...until the first one turned to dust.
Link looked in shock as the Dalek he had prepared to freeze simply crumbled to the ground. The same happened to two of them caught in Saria's plants.
The group stopped fighting, falling back to where the Doctor and Amy waited, watching in shock as Dalek after Dalek seemed to transform before their eyes, no explanation as to what happened to them.
