Professor: Wow, I must really be in a writing mood or something...my only problem is I don't know how to handle this chapter...well, work in progress!

I own nothing, sadly.

...

"Keep the sword tip up!" Link yelled at Amy, pausing his attack for her to catch her breath, "That way you can block easier!"

"Easy for you to say!" she huffed.

Link rolled his eyes, "Come on Amy, it's not that hard."

"You've got a magic sword and my workouts consist of running from aliens trying to kill me and the Doctor, I think I get a right to complain!"

Link laughed and it was Amy's turn to roll her eyes. Sheathing her sword, she went over to the bench at the end of the guard room where she had left her water, Link following.

"You know, you really aren't that bad with your sword." He was saying.

Amy gulped down some water, "But?"

"What do you mean but?"

She sighed, "You don't compliment someone on doing horrible in a training session Link. What am I doing wrong now? It is my stance again?" she narrowed her eyes at the kid, waiting for his response.

"No!" he protested, "Your stance is great!"

"It's your elbow," a third voice said, "You keep tensing and locking it. Keep it loose so you can move your weapon faster."

The two friends turned around to see Quill watching them from the door.

"And just how long have you been there?" Amy raised her eyebrow at him.

"Long enough to see you almost get killed by Link...five times."

Link tried to hide his smile.

"That last time didn't count. I tripped." Amy corrected the Rito.

Quill smirked and held up his hands in defeat, "Of course."

Amy groaned, "It's only cause I'm fighting Link! He's a lot tougher than he looks, and I did fine in the Temples!"

"You got by on luck in the Temples," Quill said, "Luck and adrenaline."

"Well thanks for the support Quill," Amy said, sarcasm in every word, "When you say such helpful things like that, it's hard to see why I keep you around."

"I'm just telling the truth Amy," he pointed out, arms folded over his chest, "Out of everyone here, you've spent the least amount of time training. Link's been training with a sword for well over two years, the Sages are hundreds of years old, and the Doctor has fought Ganon before. You're the only one not ready."

Amy smirked, "I notice you left yourself off that list."

Quill raised an eyebrow, "Do you really think I could be second-in-command of the Rito Tribe without having gone through intense training?"

Link held back his laugh as he saw Amy's eyes narrow. She was not happy.

"I've been training all week! Ever since they got back with the last Shard! Quill, we leave for the castle tomorrow!"

Quill sighed and turned to the Hero, "Link, do you want to take a break real quick?"

He looked back and forth between his two friends for a minute before he got the hint, "Right! Yeah! I need to go talk to Komali anyway!" and with that he left the room.

Quill sighed and turned back to Amy, "Listen,-"

"Don't you 'listen' me!" she cut him off quickly, "My training isn't that bad and we leave tomorrow. We should have left when everyone got back with the last Shard but we didn't. What's going on?"
