Professor: Hello all of my lovely people! So the snow where I live has made it so that I can't drive anywhere. So, this means that, except for work and cleaning my sister's apartment and watching Netflix, my stories will have all of my attention until school starts up again in January lol. And, I remember promising all of you a Christmas gift in the form of this chapter...and so, Merry Christmas all of you wonderful people. Also, I have a surprise for you in the author's note at the end of the chapter.

I own nothing! Read and Review please!

The four friends stood facing the door, none of them really ready to take the first step and open it.

After a full night's rest, they flew over to the other ledge, Quill making two trips to carry Amy and Medli while Link floated down on his leaf. Now they just stood looking at the door. It reached all the way to the ceiling and had swirling patterns all over. It looked far too elegant for the Temple, especially since they knew that a monster lurked behind it.

"So...we should open it." Amy finally said.

"I really don't want to..." Medli whispered, barely loud enough for them to hear, "It's....It's like..."

"Like some force is holding you back?" Quill asked. Medli gasped and looked up at him, wondering how he could possibly know.

"Makar felt the same force in the Wind Temple. He ended up waiting outside for us while we faced the creature," Quill turned back towards the door, "We will not judge you if you wish to make the same decision."

Medli looked at the ground, "It doesn't feel right to let you all fight without me...but I don't think that...that I can go in."

"Don't worry Medli," Link said with a smile, "We get it! Besides...it's safer for you out here."

"He's right Medli," Amy spoke up, "You're safer out here. Don't worry about us."

The small girl didn't respond for a moment...then she nodded. She felt guilty leaving them to fight her battle for her, but she couldn't handle the force inside that room. Just standing by the door was hard enough.

"Are we ready then?" Quill asked.

Amy and Link shared a look before nodding. They opened the door.

...

The room was large, well-lit, and empty. It had many corners, each of them with a tall spiked pillar in them. A band of large spikes that matched the pillars lined the floor. Amy made a mental note to watch out for them.

"Where is she?" Quill asked, somewhat harshly, as they walked closer to the center of the room.

"She might be invisible, you said that Poes could do that." Amy said, looking up at the ceiling, hoping against hope that the creature was there.

"That's if she's a Poe," Link pointed out, "We don't really know what give Poes their power, so who knows what she is."

"Fair point," Quill agreed.

"So what do we do until we find her?" Amy asked, sheathing her sword since there was no immediate use for it.

Quill followed her example and put his arrow in his quiver, "We keep looking." He said bluntly.

And so they did. The three of them spread out and checked every part of the room they could reach, Quill flying up to check the ceiling just in case. Eventually though, they were forced to give up. There was no creature in the room.

Meeting back in the center of the room, Amy sighed in annoyance, "How are we supposed to kill her if she isn't here?"

"We don't," Quill said bluntly, "So we wait until she gets here."
