What am I to you? Clara always asked that question to herself, never getting the courage to ask the Doctor.
"Clara! Do you want to play Truth or Dare?" The Doctor broke her thoughts, jumping like a five year old on his birthday, getting the best gift ever.
"You are 1,800 and you want to play Truth or Dare?" Clara asked, grinning.
"Yes! You first Clara! Truth or Dare?" Sometimes this man in a bow tie and tweed could be ever so childish.
"Fine, truth." She replied, rolling her eyes.
"Have you ever been in a relationship before?" He asked and Clara almost jumped. He asked that? Clara thought he'd ask something more... Doctory. But instead he asks this.
"Well, no..." She turned away and the question popped back to her head.
"Did I upset you? We can stop playing if you want..." He muttered, scratching the back of his head uncomfortably.
"It's okay." Her chocolate eyes met his green eyes.
"Your turn." He told her with less enthusiasm than before.
"Truth or Dare?" She asked, hoping he would say truth.
"Truth!" His enthusiasm returned, full as ever. He was so weird but clever and brave at the same time.
"What am I to you?" The question was out now. All that was needed was a simple answer.
"Oh Clara. You're my companion of course!" Clara's heart sank at his words She decided to press on, blinking back tears.
"J-Just a companion?" You could hear the hurt in her voice from any room in the TARDIS.
"No-Yes-Err..." His confidence was gone, but replaced with uncertainty.
"Well?" He looked at Clara's face. A determined and clever girl Clara was. He was indeed falling for her, but could never show it. So in his current situation, he cupped Clara's cheeks with his hands and kissed her. All his love was poured into one simple kiss and surprisingly, Clara returned it with the same passion and lust. They broke apart after a few moments, needed oxygen.
"I'll take that as a no then?" He only looked at her and replied, "More than a companion."
