She sat in the hospital, her clothes drenched with both blood and water. Her hair stuck to her face and neck as she looked at the wall, with no emotion on her face.

"Raelyn" she heard but she didn't turn. she let all the sound wash over her as her eyes focused on the white walls.

She suddenly feels a hand on her shoulder making her jerk violently on the bench she sat on. She looked up at the person who owned the hand and saw Damon.

"Raelyn,I'm so sorry" he said and she stood up "Is.." He started but she interrupted him, hugging him tight

Not minding her drenched state, he wrapped his arms around her, pulling her closer to him.

She just hugged him. She didn't cry, she didn't say a word, she didn't have any thoughts, and she felt no emotion. She just hugged him with open, unblinking eyes.

"You wait here. I'll go see the doctor" Damon says and she nods slowly

He pats her hair down before walking away to the doctor's office. She watched him go before leaning against the bench and shutting her eyes.

Her eyes open and she stands up from the bench, walking in the direction of the doctor's office. She lets her hand come up to knock on the door but drops it down on the knob and opens the door.

"...critical and might..." She heard before silence hovered the room just as she entered. The doctor looked up at her before turning to Damon who stood up from the chair and approached her.

"Raelyn.." He says holding her to him "Why aren't you waiting outside for me?" He asks and she looks him in the eye and for the first time since Sky had been taken into the emergency unit, she spoke.

"I want to hear what the doctor says. I..I need to know" she says,her voice a hoarse whisper. It was almost as though she had lost her voice and she was merely forcing for her voice to be heard.

"Raelyn.." Damon starts about to protest but she puts her hand on his

"Please..." She says and he let's out a sigh before nodding and leading her to the chair and sitting down on the other chair.

"Who is she?" The doctor asks taking off her glasses

"Sky's sister, Raelyn" Damon says looking briefly at Raelyn and back at the doctor who nods

"How is Sky?" Raelyn asks, her voice as emotionless and blank as her face was.

"He's in a very critical state and I'm afraid he's going to have to undergo a surgery at the earliest" the doctor says, dropping her glasses down on the table

"Surgery?" She asks

"Yes. When he fell into the tank, I guess there was something sharp there and he got cut really deep on his stomach and in the process, his kidney got lacerated badly. " she says, watching the every expression of her audience.

"Lacerated?" Damon asks, not getting her

"When an injury is minor, the kidney may only be bruised. But when the injury is more severe, the kidney may be cut or torn, that is the kidney getting lacerated." The doctor explains and Raelyn's lips part open

"How serious is a lacerated kidney?" She asks even though she knew how serious it would be.

"A lacerated kidney may result in urine and blood leaking into the surrounding tissue. Sometimes a blood clot forms around the kidney" she says "There are other potential complications. There is usually a case of hypertension occurring transiently as the kidney houses hormones and chemicals that help control blood pressure. Infections and urine leakage outside the kidney, that is urinomas are also part of these complications."
