"Are you sure she gets back at this time?" Zyaire asks, his fingers tapping impatiently at his steering wheel

"Yes sir. Exactly at 5:30" Kelvin, the man he'd hired to look after her in secret says.

He didn't trust everyone else on the road and of course Raelyn wouldn't accept Alec driving her anymore nor would she accept a bodyguard and so he'd hired one in private to protect her if needed.

He knew she'd kick his ass once she found out but for now, he was safe and so was she. It'd been a whole week since they'd seen each other but he constantly had reports coming in about her whereabouts and safety.

Maybe it was a bit too much and even slightly creepy but he wanted the safety of his woman and child.

His woman?

The woman he wanted to be his woman. That was a better way to phrase it.

"Alright" he says before hanging up and like luck, he sees the woman he'd been waiting for walking down the sidewalk, her eyes on her phone.

She had on a baggy blue shirt the same shade as his that came down to her knees and he could see the sweat shorts she wore just peeking underneath.

"I keep telling her to look where she's going" he mutters to himself, coming out his car and walking over to her unnoticed.

He gets on the sidewalk, walking quietly behind her and once he's close enough, he brings his lips to her ear

"Boo" he says and she flinches,  turning around and punching him before she even realised he was the one

"Oh my God..." she says with wide eyes once she sees it's him and he says nothing and just holds his now aching nose, still in shock

"I'm so sorry, I did not know it was...why would you sneak up on me like that?!"

"Why would you just punch  anyone like that?" He asks back

"I thought it was some crook or something"

"Well I'm glad to know you can protect yourself against harm" he chuckles "I think you broke my nose"

"I'm sorry" she says bringing her hand over the bridge of his nose, her finger trailing it gently "Does it hurt a lot?" She asks, a worried frown on her face and he smiles

"No, not at all" he says and she brings her eyes to meet his

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah I am. It's fine"

"Okay" she says dropping her hand and keeping her phone in her pocket "What are you doing here anyways?"

"I came to see you" he says, resisting the urge to rub his nose in order to ease the pain

"On the street?" She asks cocking a brow

"Well Dr Delross told me about your exercise classes and I found out you usually get back from it around this time so I was waiting" he says and she smiles

"Stalker" she says, not thinking too much about how he found out

"Whatever" he chuckles, advertising the dimples she loved to see so much

"Did you need something? " She asks

"Why? I can't just come to check on you?" He asks and she shrugs

"Depends, did you bring me anything?" She asks teasingly and he chuckles

"Next time I will" he says and she nods

"Well I need to go buy things for dinner so..."

"I'll drop you. I'll take you there and bring you home" he says and she nods, a smile falling on her lips
