"Coco! Mr Zyaire's here!" Sky yells before walking back to his room after letting Zyaire into the house
"Who?" Raelyn asks walking out the kitchen but she doesn't need an answer as she meets the eyes of the man of whose presence Sky had just announced
"Hey" he says first and a smile falls to her lips
"Hey. You didn't say you were dropping by" she says wiping her hands dry on the towel she held in hand before letting it hang on the handle of the kitchen door, making a mental note to take it away later
"I know, sorry for dropping by unannounced" he says "I just...I wanted to see you today" he says and a small frown frames her face
"Are you alright? Did something happen?" She asks walking over to him and he shakes his head no
"Just missed you is all" he says and she remains unconvinced
"Are you sure? You seem sad" she notes
"Just tired, I've had a lot to do this week which is the reason I couldn't see you or check on you earlier" he says
It'd been a week since her date with Miguel and unlike what she'd expected, she didn't see Zyaire the next day or the day after that. Even when she'd called to check on him, he hadn't answered the phone or returned her calls.
"Oh"
"Sorry I couldn't take your calls either, I was just not in a good place" he says
"That's alright" she takes his hand in hers, her other laying against his cheek "You can tell me what's wrong if you want to, not for anything but just to have someone you can confide in. I don't have to be but I'd love to be that person for you" she says, brushing her thumb against his cheek comfortingly "If you're hurting then you can tell me and I'll try to make you feel better"
"I know"
"Do you?"
"I do" he smiles before pausing thoughtfully "Can I take you somewhere? I want you to meet someone" he says and she raises a brow

"He's the reason I wanted a child" Zyaire says to Raelyn whose eyes laid on his father, Zachary who laid unconscious on the hospital bed
"He's been struggling with a heart problem for two years now and I only just found out about it 7 months ago. My parents finally decided it was right to tell us because he 'wants a grandchild before his last days' " he says with a shake of his head
"It's foolish but my mum actually believes a grandchild will save him. I don't. I think the doctors will save him but I'm willing to give anything a try if it would make him happy once he awakens" he says
