"Congratulations, you have finished the first four weeks of your first trimester successfully" Doctor Delross said with a smile as Raelyn sat up on the bed after just getting a scan done courtsey of an insistent Zyaire
It was her body, she knew if she was okay or not, she could feel, but apparently, only a doctor could convince him everything was fine.
He didn't even come with her and was busy ordering her in and out of the hospital like she was some robot he had a remote control to.
It didn't annoy her though, if it was four weeks ago, she'd have argued with him, snapped and probably ended up smacking him but it was okay now. She was used to him...no, she was able to tolerate him now.
He wasn't as terrible as he was the first times she knew him. He wasn't ideal yet but he was manageable now
"Yay" Raelyn said only, unable to match the enthuasiasm of the older woman
"You don't sound too happy" the older woman chuckled
"No, of course I am" she said, forcing a smile on her face
8 months to go and she was rid of all these
"Don't worry, it gets better" Doctor Delross encouraged and she nodded
"I hope so. I have to go now, if I'm late I'll miss the bus" Raelyn said sitting up on the small bed in the office
"The bus?"
"Yeah. To get home" she says, putting on her shoes
"But he's waiting for you"
"Who?"
"Mr Zimmermann" she says and Raelyn frowns in confusion
"He came?"
"He did. You did not know he was going to?" She asks standing up from the stool beside the bed where she'd been sitting as she conducted the test.
"No, he didn't say anything" Raelyn murmurs, wondering why he was at the hospital
If he was going to come anyways, why didn't he just come with her then? He'd clearly said he wasn't coming because he had "...other important things to do"
"Well, he's outside. You should go, don't keep him waiting too long" the older woman says and Raelyn nods standing up from the bed and picking up her bag after adjusting her gown on her body.
She'd just gotten it newly. Well, from the woman she babysat for but new nonetheless. She hadn't even worn it when she gave it to her.
It was like her own personal thrift shop but for free and with actual quality things.
